Mildy 6. Unemployed and may as well stayed at home Lockyer. 5. Did ok but poor distribution 1st half.right back is not his right position
Trotters 6. Shakes early doors and slip nearly cost a goal but improved as the game went on Parkes. 7. Rock solid no nonsense performance, impressive. Brown 6.5. Good link up with Martin 2nd half.
Mansell. 5.5. Improved after a poor first half
Clarke. 6. Just for a cracking goal Monkhouse. 6. Some nice touches Martin 6.5. Good second half when he ran at the defence, some good crosses and nearly fluked one in as well Cunnington. 6.5. Better 2nd half, promising debut. Taylor. 5.5. Didn't see much of the ball
Harrison 5. Did well in the short time he had and could have scored
Darrell Clarke. 7 dropping Macca and going 4-4-2 worked well after a scrappy first half
Telford 4 very little threat all game
ref 4 oversized hitler crowd 6 dead as a dodo but in the circumstances that was expected.no booing at half time which could easily have happened.

Mildy - 6 nothing really to do, a bit untidy with crosses Lockyer - 5 Solid enough but terrible distribution. Didn't get forward enough. Accepted this isn't his normal position Trotters - 6 Won plenty in the air, with a couple of dodgy moments Parkes - 5 A couple of stray passes and dodgy at times Brown - 6 Solid Mansell - 5 Didn't get in the game too much, has to do more to link the play Clarke - 5 I would of given him a 4 if it wasn't for the great goal. Lacking confidence, didn't create space or want the ball. Monkhouse - 5 Not a lot worked for him today Martin - 7 A rare attacking outlet for us Cunnington - 5 for a big man didn't win enough in the air Taylor - 6 Has a bit of class about him and fantastic workrate
Harrison - 7 Looked bright when he come on, could be good for us if he keeps his attitude in check
Darrell Clarke - 7 Line up was fine, suprised Leadbitter dropped. Probably would of gone 4-4-2. Not a fan of the hoofball and his 'good performance' interview wasn't really accurate given the opposition. Then again, a win is a win.
Telford - 2 Offered nothing apart from timewasting, terrible.

Mildy - 6 - bit slow off the mark today I thought but had little to do really and make a few good tips/punches
Lockyer - 6 - Had a pretty good day and made some important moves and challenges. Lacked a little composure with passing at times.
Trotters - 6 - Pretty solid game, unlucky not to score, poor longball.
Parkes - 5 - not to usual standard today and gave away possession too often.
Brown - 7 - had a good game from start to finish, some important challenges and good progressive passing.
Mansell - 7 - Solid in the middle. Battled well but no real link up play going forwards. Excellent at playing captain and was talking all game.
Clarke - 6 - great strike for the goal but disappointing first half.
Monkhouse - 6 - pretty average game but settled in to the role and some good link up play later on.
Martin - 8 - Tidy performance. Did the wingers job well, tried some things which didn't pay off but battled hard and made some exciting runs with some excellent crosses. Cunnington - 7 - bit rusty but held the ball up well when played on the deck and was a strong and determined threat going forwards.
Taylor - 7 - slow start but came in to his own when we went 1 up. One of the most fluid strikers we've had in a long time. Unlucky not to score.
Harrison - 6 - not much game time but sure looked dangerous when he came on. Nice turns, skills and awareness.
Darrell Clarke - 7 - better. Much much better.
Telford - 4 - like a flaccid penis. No real threat, expect them to achieve bottom half finish.
Ref - 3 - bad decisions throughout and was wearing a broken watch apparently too.
Gasheads - 4 - flat as a pancake until the goal and even then sang for about 10 minutes.

Mildy - 5 - Not much to do but looked shaky on a couple of crosses. Lockyer - 5 - Not a right back. Defended well but his passing wasn't brilliant. Trotters - 6 - Recovered from a dodgy start and won everything in the air. Parkes - 6 - A couple of crucial blocks in the first half but distribution wasn't great. Brown - 6 - Solid defensively and linked well with Martin. Mansell - 7 - Best game for us. Was a good leader, passed it okay and was unlucky with a good drive. Clarke - 6 - Anonymous in the first half but scored a great goal and picked up a bit after. Monkhouse - 5 - Can't remember a good cross from him and seemed to be very deep for a winger and not running on. Martin - 8 (MOTM) - Looked to take his man on, usually beat him and tracked back well. Cunnington - 7 - A solid debut, looked comfortable with the ball coming at him high or to feet and linked up well. Taylor - 7 - Another good performance. Chased down defenders and got himself in good positions.
Harrison - 6 - Didn't get a lot of time but seemed to be up for it and beat a man with a great bit of skill.
Darrell Clarke - 6 - Thought he should have made more subs and sooner with a game again so soon. Right formation though.
Telford - 4 -Did nothing going forward and time wasted from very early on.

Mildenhall 5 Nothing to do. Lockyer 5 Defensively very good, distribution dire Trotman 7 Would have been my MOM, but for Martins second half performance Parkes 6 Made three excellent last ditch blocks but wayward clearances and several dodgy moments. Brown 6 Steady game Mansell 7 Best game so far Clark 5 Apart from his excellent goal, woeful performance Monkhouse 5 Improved second half when we played a bit more football on the ground, a hoofball games does' not suit his style. Martin 7 [just shaded MOM for second half performance Cunnington 7 Excellent second half and good understanding with Taylor Taylor 7 See Cunnington Harrison 6 Looked up for it in his late cameo
Clarke 7 Played the right formation and surprised he avoided his usual willingness to ring the changes
Telford 5 7 Big men and not a lot else.

Mildy. 5 Not so commanding, but not much to do Lockyer 5 Steady, not a RB,someone should have pointed out we played in Blue & White Trotters 6 Looked solid and steady, not the quickest Parkes 5 Some good blocks, however, bit dodgy at times against woeful opposition. and we play in Blue and White Brown 6 Quite steady performance Mansell 5 Can do better, seemed a good leader. Clarke 4 Would have been 3 but for a cracking goal, lacking for a midfield player. Monkhouse 4 Did not impress today Martin 6 Saw a few signs of good a good player, if he can cross better Cunnington 6 Worked hard, at last we may have someone who can hold the ball up Taylor 6 Showed signs of improvement
Harrison 6 showed he may the have the commitment that has previously been lacking
Darrell Clarke 5 . Noticed he was sat down a lot and Stewart on the line.
Telford 3, Rubbish looked a part time outfit, some players ran out of steam in S/H
Ref, 3 Made some very strange decisions, booked players for nothing, seemed to favour Telford.

Mildy - 6 - Reasonably steady with very little to do but a couple of misunderstandings that can happen when he has a different back 4 (or 3) in front of him every week
Lockyer - 6 - Had a pretty good day and made some important moves and challenges. His passing needs to improve
Trotters - 7 - Solid game, very good in the air and I think will improve with more games
Parkes - 6 - A mixed performance. At times looked excellent but was also uneasy on a few occasions and passing needs to improve . Brown - 7.5 A very steady and good performance both defensively and going forward
Mansell - 6.5 - Excellent Captain but needs to control the game more by wanting the ball
Clarke - 5.5 - 2 of those marks are for the excellent goal but really needs to improve by wanting the ball more . The midfield gets by passed too much because as a group they are not a unit and don't want the ball
Unlucky not to score but i wish he would stay on his feet more.
Harrison - 6 - not much game time but sure looked dangerous when he came on. Nice turns, skills and awareness.Deserves to be given a chance to start soon
Darrell Clarke - 6 - Less changes which was good
Telford - 4 - Had a game plan which wasn't really playing a game of football but stuck to it well.Their time wasting from first whistle to last was ably supported by a very poor referee

Mildy 6 - at least he did not have to kick his own posts in frustration today Lockyer 7 - calmest of the back four took a while to get on the same wavelength as Monkhouse but looks comfortable whether ball is in the air or on the deck. Trotman 6.5 - started shakily but gained confidence as more tackles and interceptions were made, offered a threat in their box from set pieces. Parkes 6 - odd one this, at times commanding and fearless at others timid and fearful. Passing erratic too. Evens out to a six but not a steady performance! Brown 8 - the left side was the best working unit today and Browner and Mansell appear to be working out a good dead ball relationship. Monkhouse 5 - got better but was disappointing in the first 45 and to me was the reason the right side offered little forward threat. Looked better when he had more room to play. Clarke 6.5 - tackling was decent all game, movement was decent all game, passing was up and down and the vision needed to make best use of the possession he'd won was lacking. Cracking goal and hopefully that will kick start his season as I think he could be an important player for us this year. Mansell 7.5 - so much better than he was at Barnet, hardly got caught in possession at all, recycled the ball well and organised the team well from the engine room. Put in a good shift Martin 7 - he and Browner proved you can be creative on the wing even if neither has blistering pace. Trickery, a good understanding and timing are the important things. Frustratingly made the wrong choices a couple of times when we were looking dangerous but encouraging signs. Taylor 7 - deserved a goal, worked tirelessly and made intelligent runs. Ended up on the floor a lot though. Cunnington 6.5 - grew into the game and showed some determination and decent hold up play. Missed his big chance by heading over from close range but looks like there will be a goal threat there too once he establishes a rapport with the other strikers. Promising.
Harrison 6 - looked lively and creative. Telford were tired by then of course but Ellis had just the sort of impact you hope a late substitution will have.
Clarke 7 - could not disagree with anything he did today. Telford 3 - showed up, wasted time, went home. Ref 3 - showed up, wasted time, went home. Oh and made some bizarre decisions.
Crowd 8 - apart from one rant aimed at Parkes I did not hear much to back up the popular opinion that if you hold Rovers for the opening 20 mins the crowd will start getting on the players backs. In fact I think we were patient and supportive and got our rewards.
Hopefully this is the start of better things but we need to see them do it against one of the fancied teams to be sure!

Mildy - 5 Not his usual commanding self but very little to do Lockyer - 5 Commited but distribution was very poor Trotters - 7 Some brilliant headed clearances, pleasantly surprised Parkes - 6 Some brilliant blocks/tackles but distribution was poor. Brown - 6 Solid game Mansell - 5 Needs to have more of a foothold on games Clarke - 5 Poor in general except for an excellent finish (midfield too lightweight) Monkhouse - 5 Defended well but going forward was very disappointing Martin - 6 Did better than I was expecting, some good runs and crosses, although one crucial cross should have been on the floor as opposed to in the air Cunnington - 6 Solid start to his time with us, Monkhouse, Mansell and Clarke didn't support him well enough when he needed someone to lay off to. Taylor - 7 Impressed once again, fastest, fittest and most technically gifted player albeit a bit weak. Just needs a goal. (Nearly knocked him down a point as I keep betting him tos core the 1st goal so is costing me money!)
Harrison - 6 Looked a threat, just needs more of an end product.
