i found it interesting watching boateng today, skillful on the ball and strong, hardly bothered tracking back at all and rovers players knew he wouldnt be busting a gut defensively, the perfect opponent for lines imo as chris knew he could run with the ball without worrying about hiram too much.

Hiram had 1 shot today which went over the bar - he was obviously 'show Boateng' !

No I don't think its a sight problem its just knowing sometimes how near to the goal the play is from the other end. Depends on the level of the end really, like at Exeter you would be lucky to see anything let along what was happening!
My kids are either not old enough or don't care about BR enough for me to have experienced the family enclosure before, hope for you we shoot down that end in the first half and we kill the game with 3 goals!!
I cant remember the last time we scored three goals in the first half in a league match but wouldnt that be a way to get the crowd going. Bring it on Mission accomplished!! +1

I liked his Twitter comment, "gutted" he was, apparently. This is what makes the whole loan system a farce, playing for one club one minute, playing against them for someone else the next. Undying love for club after club, moving from one hotel to another, kissing one badge then another. If it was up to me the whole loan thing would be abolished, if your club cant afford players then tough, live by your means. The fact we still harp on about Dennis Bailey proved we have hardly ever get any success from loanees.

I think he's benefited from decent keeper coaching from Stewart Naylor and probably training with Mildy and now Roos has helped him improve his game (i'd also imagine training matches featuring Taylor, Gaffds, Bodin and Harrison, help our keepers improve). He's certainly not a bad keeper, that description I reserve for Scotts Howie and Shearer, both absolute rubbish. Puddy is ok (we need better when we are under pressure and need a keeper to dominate his area) but the goals he conceded away to Pompey and Shrewsbury rank as some of the worst Ive seen from a Rovers keeper. I still maintain that Shrewsbury goal started with Lockyer's failure to put the ball in row Z.

Lawrence played on the wing this afternoon as well? Unless DC brings in another wide player I assume he now sees LL as a left wing back up for Monty? I think before we all get carried away we wait and see what happens next week, given how poor we've been away from the Mem lately. If we come back with 3 pts next week we could well be on track for a Play Off spot but another defeat we'll be back to square one. Yeah I agree, but I think we've been so poor away from home lately because we haven't played the team that we've been playing at home. I wasn't at chsrlton last week but I think we played wingers ( good) but Lawrence isn't a winger in my opinion ( more cover for lines )and Moore only seems to play well when he's sub. In the majority of our other recent away games we've played the diamond and I hate that formation. Bodin has a history of injury / illness problems and Montano blows a bit hot and cold so I really think we need cover / competition out wide and that will enable us to play with proper wingers most of the time as well as a centre half and a keeper to replace Roos and push Puddy for No 1. Regarding winning pushing us up and losing back to square one that sums up our season and it all points towards a mid table ish finish.

Boateng doing a subtle fist-pump celebration in the background! Lol! Must admit the reception Boateng got from the gas fans after the game was a class act.
