Hearing 6 changes no Taylor, and mid field of Manse Lawrence and The Beard
So well done dc we've lost this match....never mind play offs maybe next year...we're for a thumping playing dad's army and no creative players at all??? Let's hope Danny has a stormer

Glad im too ill to go now. After the battering they gave us at the Mem you'd have thought this weaker side would have been played v Wombles. And lost.

Hartley and Lockyer are going to be very busy dealing with all those back passes from midfield. I did think Lawrence might get a start and predictably Gaffney starting up front but the other changes are baffling. Ollie C and Linesy not even in the squad

Let's hope Danny has a stormer Yeah, f**k it why bother sending them out at all, might as well let Charlton have a walk over. Why does everybody think they know more than DC? Could he possibly know more about the fitness levels and niggles within the squad than some fans, or have they got access to all of the analysts data from the last weeks games and training sessions?

Chill out you bleedin lot. Lets get some positive vibes going, i think we'll keep it tight and bring on Bodin, Harrison and Taylor later on in a DC 'Yankee' tactic.

Sinclair and Moore - fresh and raring to go after Christmas break Mansell and Lawrence - have had some minutes recently after not figuring - like a mini pre-season. Moore and Easter also lightly raced in recent times and should be raring to go. It is clearly a risk but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and in this case, the pudding is a football.......

Think it would make more sense with Moore on the left and Lawrence on the right. Means there's a bit of pace on both sides. Lawrence crossing from deep with the option of leadbitter overlapping him would be a good threat I reckon.
To suggest there's no creativity is a bit ridiculous if you ask me. UTG!

Look at the bench. If changes are needed then the firepower is there!! DC has stated the squad would be utilised over Christmas and rightly so. Let's see how the game pans out before the usual meltdown.

I feel sorry from Manse, Easter & LL who've hardly played any league football in the past few months, why not just keep them back until the likes of Lines tire in the second half? I can see now why DC let Sincs have a good rest this week!!
Glad I'm sat at home listening rather than at the Valley.

Don't know much about the Charlton squad, so not sure if this is a strong line up or not..

Let's see how the game pans out before the usual meltdown. How about not changing a winning team? How can the back 5 cope with so many games but not the front 6? It will be interesting to see how many changes Charlton make today and who then comes out on top at 5 pm.

On that starting 11 I'm glad I didn't go haha. I think Darrell is thinking strategically and is resting his best players for Northampton against a side which trounced us not long back.
Seems like a sensible strategy for maximising points over a busy period.

DC's 'Yankee' tactic is for Taylor etc to arrive at the battle late after all the hard work's been done and take a few shots and say they won the war!

Maybe there's an element in there somewhere of putting players who don't quite fit our needs anymore on display to other clubs who might be shopping. I expect most of the changes are down to a lot of the players being Christmas crackered from playing two days ago though. Seems to me like there's enough room on the bench for a response if/when things start to go Horribly Wrong. Maybe the idea is to lull the opposition into a false sense of security with Plan A and then clobber them with Plan B (As I type, Clarkie is on the radio saying that it's a very heavy pitch that needs fresh legs).

Don't know why people are complaining, the exact same team aren't going to start 2 games in 48 hours

No, he's clueless and we're all experts. Personally, I'm gonna fine DC for fielding a weakened side.
