And they talk about us as the gift that keeps on giving.. They've very recently tied down their current manager by offering an extended contract keeping him there until 2020. That alone is a pure comedy gold moment. Historically, apart from sliding through the leagues in consecutive seasons then going bust and having to reform as a PLC. Just need Lord Guernsey to pull the plug on them and we can all watch them flushed away like a turd down the u bend. My little glass of sherry at midnight tonight is a toast to them.. Thanks guys happy 2017.. That's brilliant m, signed him up for 5 years then he loses 8 in 9. Even if they fire him, that's a huge amount of money. In the long run, they are doing the right thing. Stability has done everything for this football club. Note the conference players. Sorry "conference" players we have who actually turn out to be good L1 players with stability and good management. I actually believe in Lee Johnson. I think he is a decent up and coming manager, and if he has 5 years with funds he will be successful. This, of course, was the plan from BCFC. Almost "doing a Rovers with Clarke". What we will now observe is if BCFC fans inherent fickleness will poison the club once again. Will we witness a big stand off between Lansdown and the supporters? Of will SL et al twist AGAIN and spend yet more money? It must be a £10m decision at least with the change in squad, probably more. Whatever the weather it's wonderful to watch at present. Even more sweet as I thought they would beat Ipswich. They seem to always beat Ipswich and Middlesborough. That big stadium will look good once they are down the bottom. By the way, they are LTD, not Plc.

Our last match vs the Dons was back on the 8th March this year in a entertaining game which the gas won 3-1, a match that I thought at the time was between 2 good league 2 sides. That being said leading up to that match, we were 6th (9 points off 3rd) and the Dons were 7th so who would have thought we would be ending the year playing each other in a league above! And who could forget working all the possible conclusions out leading up to the last game of the season, where if Lee Brown hadn't slotted that last minute winner vs Dagenham then we would have been heading to Wimbledon just a few days later in a potential play off encounter. Oh, how things could have been so different. The Dons season has similarities to ours in the fact that both of us have been inconsistent but both teams fans will be happy with how things have gone on the whole. It is a tough match to call and I don't think it will be easy at all I'll be optimistic and go for a 2-1 gas win but a draw wouldn't surprise me. Given our season so far, absolutely nothing would surprise me. From a thumping win to a four goal defeat.

Great gesture i think Pointless and over the top I think when it's for no one in particular. Thanks for that. My father passed away on boxing day and a mate from my local in Telford got in touch with the club. I'll be travelling down tomorrow to be there. We had planned to come down together for the game but that has changed. It's relevant to me. I'm sorry for your loss, just my opinion. Are you incapable of keeping some opinions to your self though? Do we all say or write everything we think in life? Before anyone says "it's a forum", well yes it is but we have rights and responsibilies in life. The latter is often forgotten.

Tough game tomorrow and a draw would not be a disaster but hopefully them having whelpdale out injured and lyle taylor missing through suspension might give us the edge. They haven't scored in their last 4 away games. I think we should be aiming for a win.

Well if the gas win today I for one will see 2016 as a fantastic year for the club - yes we could have done better by not having the wobble we just did and having a few more points but that's football. With the past 2 years demonstrating we can get stronger in the 2nd half of the season I have the faith we will still make the play offs and with the sh** continuing to slide maybe they will sabotage their own gap for us and give us the parity we deserve. Bring on 2017

I'm sensing a 3-2 thriller, with Ellis coming off the bench to score the decider. Back in the South Stand today, let's make some noise!!

Sometimes the lack of sensitivity is breathtaking, my Dad died in April a lifelong Rovers fan and my 63 year old brother on the 27th July completely unexpectedly. Gestures like this help the bereavement process and if some folk feel they can't support it they should just stay silent.

They still might if they ever get a decent manager in.
If they didn't borrow one of Chelsea's players the local plod would already be prepping for 2 derby games next season.
They must be worried, no comments on their dustbin gas thread for 18 hours on OTIB. Meltdown!

Great gesture i think Pointless and over the top I think when it's for no one in particular. Think the names should be read out prior to it, as I think they did last year, we are a Gas family and I miss all the old people I used to see at games, losing a loved one is devastating and I find your post extremely distasteful.

A comfortable 3-0. Taylor to get back amongst the goals.

Well team, I've made it down from sunny Telford and kind of looking forward to the game. Thanks for the support and please don't take it out on the lad for his comment. We all put our foot in it sometimes. Remember we are gas, we are family and we stand together. All I ask is that we get behind the team and make a real noise. We are the twelfth man, today we show it. UTG.

A win today would be great as the Charlton game is going to be a difficult one to get a result As for the minutes applause, we are a close knit club which makes us what we are Well done to the club
