Shrewsbury lose and have 3 bookings and a sending off - Just what they wouldn't want before playing us. Sad fact Otib were keeping updates from the game during their own thread - oh dear double kick in the teeth for the sad obsessed

Shrewsbury have two players on 9 cautions, one away from a suspension. Let's hope one or both picks up a booking in the cup replay tomorrow night. From the FA suspension webpage: One caution away Player Club Cautions Next Fixture Ivan Toney Shrewsbury Town 9 Fleetwood Town (13/12/2016) Gary Deegan Shrewsbury Town 9 Fleetwood Town (13/12/2016) Read more at www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/suspensions#UeYWVYJaKwfFlG00.99Couldn't have worked out better - both pick up their 10th booking , and El-Abd gets a red tonight. All three will miss the game on Saturday!

Official Match Thread (Couldn't fit it in). After a run of bad form and no midweek game I can see DC making no changes or very little at most. If we do change anyone then it could maybe be in midfield somewhere but I would be inclined to keep it the same. The Shrews are currently bottom of the league. However they did have a great 1-0 win away to Millwall last weekend. There doesn't appear to be many easy games in this league (bar Bury ) I can't say I'm over confident especially with the how our defence has been all season but I think we might nick this 2-1. -----------------------------Puddy------------------------ J Clarke--------Lockyer----------Hartley---------Brown --------------------------O Clarke------------------------ --------------Boateng---------------Sinclair------------- ---------------------------Colkett------------------------- ----------------Taylor-------------Gaffney---------------

I disagree with playing both Brown and Jclarke at right back and nobody at left back.

Ok - so I snooped the Shrewsbury forum for a bit of inside info - each post I make is a project :-)
Seems they have a LB called "Grimmer" who is Kyle walkeresq. This chap will be attacking our right so perhaps Danny L is better if he plays.
Also, their fans seem quite happy with their defence. If so, we might play flat 442 as the diamond we tend to use for teams which pass through the middle.
i don't know if they have a big midfield or a mobile one, or who we have available and sharp, but I would favour the 532 and switching to 442. We are away, frustrate them then bring on the big guns.
Personell wise, I am thinking we need some pace to unlock the defence but for all I know they set up deep. In which case it's back to a 5 in midfield and Colkett/lines.

If we did play a 3-5-2 then I guess it would be: ----------------------Puddy---------------- -------J Clarke-----Lockyer-------Hartley Leads-----------------------------------Brown -------Sincs--------Clarke--------Colkett ------------Taylor-----------Gaffney---------- which would still only be 1 change. Maybe Boateng would replace either Clarke or Colkett though? I personally hope Boateng keeps his place whatever.

GGMI are you having a laugh why on earth would you drop Saturday's MotM, Boateng, particularly for Colkett who's a bit light weight even with 3 CM's behind him?
Personally I feel if we need to play 5 at the back against the bottom club with 3 players now out suspended we have got big problems, either stick with the D or go 4-4-2 but why change a winning formation anyway?

Am I having a laugh? Are you having a laugh more like! Look at my original post which has Boateng in. The 2nd team is what I think DC would go with if we play 3-5-2, I've even put Boateng might play instead of one of those 3 and I would personally play him!!!
