After some of the sh1t I've heard shouted at Ellis today I will literally never take any Harrison comments on here seriously ever again. Ellis's driving header forces a worldy save from the keeper. Bloke in crowd "F**king hell Harrison what the f**k was that"? Harrison collects the ball in the first third, slips three players to take play into the MK half, is closed down by three red shirts and plays a square pass to a blue and white shirt. Bloke in crowd: "F**king hell Harrison you lazy b*****d". Sinclair blasts an uncontrollable over-powered pass against Harrison's thigh. Bloke in crowd: "F**king useless Harrison you lazy sh*t". i just think we should be supporting and encouraging this group of players whatever, the boys that got promotion are making a great stab at adjusting to the better quality there facing and so are the young loan players. ellis played a decent role in both promotions and is trying hard in my view to be a good league one player so as fans we should be helping him through any dip in form surely? some will fall by the wayside, maybe ellis maybe not but it dosnt diminish what he has already done at rovers.

Exactly. Despite the fact his comments were totally irrational and completely at odds with the reality of what was happening on the pitch - why bother coming just to vent your spleen at a player?

To be fair Harrison has been awful recently. He had 3 really good headed chances and wasted them all. Not sure what he offers that Gaffney doesn't? Though obviously some comments are clearly a little OTT

Sad fact is that that's all some PR***s do come for. I think they think it impresses all those around them, like "listen to what a big football expert I am."

And it's usually the day trippers who don't watch the team week in week out, I had some twat behind me in the blackthorn end today constantly saying how sh** we were and how bad gaffney was! Pretty much every time gaffers had possession of the ball the melt behind me was screaming how he would play a better pass or how he would take a shot quicker!

Though obviously some comments are clearly a little OTT I can only recall the one, where he bought a decent save from the goalie, meanwhile Gaffney had a chance to shoot but didn't and everyone ignores that because he was charging about everywhere when he came on. Gaffney can't play every minute so DC has to use Harrison, it's just a pity Harrison hasn't quite got it at this level.

But then, these days we're supposed to blow teams away every week, like you know, they've only turned up to roll over. Price of success I suppose.

Totally agree with francegas. I also find this forum invaluable for the match day updates. without you Gasheads I would have no way of keeping up with Rovers. Great job so keep it going men!! Thanks also to the peeps who add the game highlight videos. UTG Ditto. Makes for a great match day experience for the exiles, keep up the good work. We should also have a whip around to buy Francegas a faster donkey. No don't, they eat donkeys in France

Plus the one which was saved was a rather tame header down the middle of the goal.

"wastefully" so you think Gaffney would have scored with those two, or are you just talking nonsense as Harrison an easy target?

A professional footballer should do much better with 3 free headers. When someone heads over a free header of course you call it wasteful. What else is it?

Do you in all honesty believe any other player could have done anything different? And the other was rather tame down the middle of the goal? So you didn't hear the "thwack" when their keeper saved it after having to reach behind himself to do so? You stand in the West Enclosure don't you?

Thing for me with Harrison is he always takes the easy option - falling down trying to get a penalty or a free kick instead of trying to persist, letting a ball go if it doesn't go to his feet. Gaffney by difference charges down the ball and seeks to lay it off to other players and his play in that regard was sublime yesterday. When the ball goes up to Harrison you know he's going to miss it in the air and it'll come back to defence in no time. It's predictable play.

Cool down folks. Harrison could've done more with his chances but he didn't have a nightmare, did he ? This is L1 we are talking about.
Some on here have rightly moaned at morons abusing players BUT still the majority can see we have a fine team, playing some really good football and giving their all every game.
At the end yesterday there were fans around me, young and old applauding the team off despite a 0 - 0 score.
Ignore the idiots and GET BEHIND THE TEAM - we've got a really good chance of making the top 6.

Yeah why are you lying about the header being a tame shot down the middle of the goal? Oh sorry. My mistake. It was a bullet header into the top corner absolute fluke that the keeper saved it. Harrison is a top quality striker, easily better than Gaffney and fully deserves to start week in week out.
