Right firstly we deserved to win and were unlucky not to, we create the better chances, we are not clinical enough in the final third. Roos is a good keeper and every keeper makes mistakes, look at joe Hart, and centre halves like John stones, he has had a mare recently. Let's get this in perspective we lost, we are overachieving at the moment but going in the right direction. Let's stick together fill the mem Tuesday beat Fleetwood and get on it!

Comrades, how many times have we done this to others. The performance and the attitude of the team wasn't bad it was just one of those days. We will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and start again. We have not become a bad side overnight because of this. We are moving forwards on all levels, setbacks are inevitable. We will learn and we will stronger for it. We have to have bad days to appreciate the good ones. This club is on the brink of something special. Enjoy the rollercoaster for what it is (sorry sounding like a *ing like a hippy) UTG. were take our medicine, that's his new one

The team generally played very well today; however, Roos, again made another howler, which this time eventually lead to an unnecessary defeat. Hopefully DC reinstates Mildy for the Tuesday nights home match with Fleetwoiod. IMO Ellis went backwards today, not really competing for the ball and his anticipation was very poor; Gafney was unlucky to be substituted. 3 errors so far for Roos this season, like I said a couple of weeks ago I'm not convinced and today even less so. Not saying Mildy should go back in cos yeah he's 39 and apparently injured too but I honestly reckon if we'd had a good reliable keeper between the sticks this season we'd be at least 6 points better off maybe more. The first thing you want from a keeper is to do the simple things right and be reliable and settled about the way he goes about things and for me Roos is not that Goalkeeper. I'm not pulling up any trees over today though we've lost under DC before and bounced back and gone on a run and I fancy us to do it again. We've been brilliant these last 2 and a half years but there's been uncertainty in the keeper role throughout we need to sort it if we're going to push on sgain, it feels to me that we've got 3 keepers but none of them fit the bill for various reasons. I'd like us to ship one out in January and spend some money on an experienced early 30s keeper that can be relied on at this level. If we do that I reckon top six is very achievable. Steve Evans on RoosWombles fans loved him but seems to take a while to settle. Strange how most keepers we have brought in have all made quite a few errors in a short space of time? Personally if a keeper is doing the simple things wrong then thats a big concern.

I feel the same as you.... BUT...they scored (or forced) two goals. If there's one thing we're supposed to be good at it's scoring. But we didn't really look like doing so. Are our forwards starting to over-play it? Trying to walk it in the net? A bit of that, plus some good last ditch blocks/tackles and a few good saves. We have to bury our chances. Simples.

We generally do though or we wouldn't be on this amazing run we've been on these last two years. Same goes for any club , take your chances you'll probably win don't you'll probably lose or draw. I think we'll beat Fleetwood Tuesday and go on another run. These last two years form suggest we will.

Steve Evans on RoosWombles fans loved him but seems to take a while to settle. Strange how most keepers we have brought in have all made quite a few errors in a short space of time? Personally if a keeper is doing the simple things wrong then thats a big concern. Yeah this sums up the way I see it. I'm a goalkeeper myself and if I've made 3 or 4 good saves in a game but let one in that should have been an easy save or I've fumbled one I come off the pitch feeling like I've had a bad game and people talk about this good save or that good save say I played well blah blah but I know that they were saves and that's what a keeper should do but the f**k up was bad goalkeeping and you don't get away with many f**k ups before your dropped as a keeper, some don't even get back in a side after its not like being outfield where maybe you'll be played somewhere else or sub for a game, it can ruin a keepers career if they make 2 or 3 bad mistakes in a short run of games. We've all seen it. Roos is on borrowed time with us because as far as I'm aware we can't sign another until January and it's going to be a big test of his mental strength and courage as a person and as a player over the next couple of months and I really hope he comes good he seems like a decent bloke and he's clearly capable of making good saves. The best keepers are the ones that hardly get a mention and dont have to make great saves because their positioning temperament and organisation of their defence is great. Hopefully Roos will go on to be one of those keepers and with us.

Didnt take chances in front of goal today. Thought Gaffeney played well though, like to see him start scoring again.
Why wasnt Boateng involved? Best player last week i was told like to see him Tuesday.
Harrison came on and was so poor, some games i question his desire to win, looks as if he is having kick about in the park sometimes.
Tuesday we must bounce back.

I don't like how the GK is getting most of the stick for this defeat. I was not at the game but the commentary and stats indicate that we could have scored a hatful today. All players make mistakes but should we have been out of sight long beforehand? Plus how did the ball happen to be in our box in the 90th minute? Possession lost, misplaced pass, missed attempt? Pointing at the keeper, who I'm sure is as gutted as anybody is lazy. Why aren't the CMs getting in the box if Gaffers is getting joy out wide? Are they seriously all sitting 30 yards out watching the CF work out wide? We had over 20 shots on goal and 8? Corners. Let's give the finger pointing a rest because it's a collective failure not an individual one.

People who went are just understandably frustrated at Roos as most of us were confident we would win the game before a mistake from no pressure. He was inevitably going to get stick for that especiallly so soon after the mistake vs MK Dons recently.

You can't blame his teammates for Roos error.

Plenty of players get stick when they make really simple school boy errors during games, not just mistakes. I don't think we should drop him but I don't see the problem with people complaining on a Match thread about his performance. Completely agree with the other points you make.

You can't blame his teammates for Roos error. I can. I like to look at lead ups to events rather than just the incident. The individual mistake bit is simple. He should have done better. However, what if a simple pass was misplaced beforehand or a player was caught out of position. We win as a team and lose as a team but if people here are happy to point at individuals then that's up to them. That's par for footy fans anyway tbf and we do love a fall guy.
