It was a cracking game. Two good sides playing the right way, if we can keep that formation now we can finish top half. I haven't seen anything to be scared of so far.

Make no mistake the last 30 mins was pretty much one way traffic. Lines coming on changed the balance of power massively and but for a fine goalkeeping display we would have won comfortably.
We will be alright.

Frustrating game to watch. Didn't think we had much in us first half and the penalty was a real lifeline, they could have gone in 2-1 up - very lucky. Much better in the second half as above stats show! Good choice of subs, looked to have much more flair with linesy, Ellis seemed to be becoming more and more frustrated as time wore on. Gaffney was his usual self, if he'd have scored at the end it would have been pandemonium, poor shot which should have won the match. In other news, worse pasty I've had at the Gas today, zilch beef. And wtf was with only cheese and onion crisps and Twixs? I thought piegate was bad but this unacceptable.

Lets not give them more credit than they deserve, Walsall have been poor this season and their fans were having a meltdown on their forum before the game. These are games we should be winning at home. And to be fair, we should have won. A much better performance from a team that had a decent shape to it, unlike Saturday. Ellis had two glorious chances, but couldn`t convert either of them. I thought Lines was excellent when he came on, Byron Moore had an impressive game, and nobody really let themself down. I`d like to see Charlie Colkett given more than the last five minutes of a game. He looked decent when he came on against Rochdale, and tonight in the last minute, played a glorious ball out to Taylor. Changing the subject, I didn`t realise that Walsall had signed Warwick Davis. Wearing the No. 10 shirt, he certainly had an impressive game for them.

Seems strange that the general feeling is DC doesn't like wingers and wants to play formations without them yet the majority of our success is built around wing play with attacking overlapping fullbacks. We just look so much stronger that way.

Great second half over a scrappy first half, boats got knocked off the ball for the first goal and it didn't look like Roos got full stretch to save it but I thought both players did well apart from that. Lines coming in gave us some impetus and drive at their midfield which took the pressure off and put it on them. Stand outs for me was Moore who looked better on the right and kept switching with Bodin who did a lot better than recent games. Defence was a little shaky in the first but had a lot less to do second. Matty was class, sincs didn't stop running and Gaffers looked strong when he came on. Ellis was okay thought he couldve pressed the defenders and keeper more. Etheridge kept Warsaw in the game quite simply with at least 4 top class one handed saves. Saw an earlier comment from someone on here about corners and getting excited but I thought we actually looked dangerous from them tonight.
Lot more confident today than after Saturday and it won't be long before we batter someone.

Similar start to the season as last year - were getting caught out by some shoddy mistakes that we shouldn't be making.
We seem to have the edge of play though so confident we can turn things around but our strongest area at the start of the season is starting to look like our weakest - upfront. We can't rely entirely on Taylor - Harrison looked fantastic tonight but is struggling to beat the keeper and gaffney can't hit a barn door. Easter is more of a attacking midfielder these days and James hasn't been given the opportunity to shine.
Great debut from Moore, and lines reacted well to being dropped to the bench. Bodin looked more on the boil, likely due to having a strong partner on the other side.
If we can shore up the defence and start scoring more goals other than through Taylor we will be ok.

We still look like conceding every time the opposition attack, that has to be sorted asap otherwise we would probably need 2 goals just to draw most games. We are always good for a BTTS bet though...

Going to buck the overall trend here...I think we're currently making poor teams look better than they are and at home that's a massive problem in terms of getting points on the board...in recent seasons we're basically used to it from Aug-Oct but DC has some work to do...

I only say Gaffs should have won the match cos it was our last chance Markczgas, you're right, we had plenty of chances.
Liked the look of Colkett too.

Taylors 54th goal in 108 appearances.
A 1 in 2 ratio, now that's impressive!

Excellent 2nd half performance and deserving of 3 pts.Terrible miss by Ellis with the header from 3 yards out.Their Turk bloke was very good but it took us 70 minutes to get a tackle in on him.Colkett will be our version of him only much better! Overall encouraged muchly after a shaky 1st half.

We made Rochdale look half decent because we were all over the shop and nobody knew what they were supposed to be doing but tonight we outplayed Wallsall for large parts and they are a good side with good players. Etheridge put in one of the best performances I've seen at the Mem and if it hadn't been for that we'd have won and people would be a lot more full of praise for tonight game. I don't think we made Wallsall look good I think they are good and played well but we played better. The jump up from league 2 to league 1 is fairly big from What I've seen so far but I think we've got an average league 1 standard squad and I'm more than happy with that for now.

Apart from the save Roos made with his legs I can't recall Walsall having one decent shot on target, down the other end Etheridge must have made 3 or 4. brilliant saves.

Frustrating not to get the win as we deserved it after a good second half showing, and there was a lot of promising individual performances.
But part of me worries that despite our second half dominance, our goal tonight came from a penalty. We're very reliant on Taylor and Hartley (from set pieces) for goals atm.

Even Steven first half I thought. Second half a revelation. Great entertainment and everything bar a goal. THought Moore looked a quality player and has obviously been allowed to fully recovered from his muscle injury.A very skilful player with a good engine. Boateng seemed very quiet tonight for some reason and Lines was superb when he came on. Etheridge who I thought was a very good keeper when he was with us in the Mcghee era totally justified my previous thoughts on him. The best all round goalkeeping display by a visiting keeper for a very long time in my opinion.

Ok! Just back from the game & we should be delighted with a point, as Etheridge was our MOTM by a long way for pulling off a string of class saves, including one in the first half which was simply superb. Ozzy's goal was quality & he showed his class all game. Chambers worked hard particularly in the first half, but faded in the second.
That said we hardly troubled the keeper & looked devoid of ideas going forward for long spells, unless it went through Ozzy & we gave the ball away cheaply a fair bit. But my main concern was the defence, where we looked vulnerable all the time & particularly in the air; ROVERS HAD A LOT OF CORNERS & THEY WERE TERRIFYING TO WATCH.
Really not sure about Morris, who had a poor game.
A point gained, not 2 lost, but we were lucky!
Had to laugh at this comment on the Walsall forum.
