i thought we were a bit unlucky not to get a point tonight so im not getting to down after our 9 month unbeaten home run ended. some of there players have played at the highest level so its bound to be a learning curve for many of our boys. bringing on bodin and easter really put us on the front foot tonight and i thought ellis was lively. on the other hand when montano came on he didnt provide the outlet that lee brown always gives us so in retrospect i think dc got that wrong though lee was probably tired. That's because he took Brown off. Montano just didn't see the ball. As for Ellis. Men against boys comes to mind, and we weren't unlucky we just not as good as them. How many saves did their goalie make? 1? 2?

Thought Easter was superb tonight. I've always rated him and have suggested to friends that he is too good (or maybe too clever) is the right word for our team. I think he could well be that missing piece of creativity we lack in midfield at times. This level might suit him better than league 2 and conference.

I thought we were unlucky not to get a point, really poor mistake from Ollie Clarke for their first goal but otherwise we did alright, I think to improve we need a midfielder who can provide more options in the final third, you're right we didn't trouble their keeper that much, but other than that, there is nothing to worry about. As for Bolton, they looked a very physical side that bullied some of our players at times and they did show some real quality on the counter, but didn't look anything special, in honesty I thought they only looked slightly better than our boys

Same number as Mildenhall? DC simply got his team selection/tactics wrong in the first half

Easter is class, but he simply doesn't have the legs anymore imo, I don't think we will see him playing many whole games.

Bolton fans love The Mem.....
Obviously never been to Burnden Park and don't know about the tragedy in 1946. the one thing I hate about young 'uns is a lack of humility. oh, and a lack of historic interest. ok, the 2 things I hate about young 'uns... [cue Monty Python sketch]

How many saves did their goalie make? 1? 2? imo lee is always available to find with a pass while montano runs up blind alleys and is much hareder to find. both teams played good football though both goalkeepers didnt have that much to do for me. at the end of the day they won so thats what counts. everyone sees what they see but i thought ellis did well against a experienced centre half and scored a good goal. its going to be harder this season as we have just had 2 promotions but i think we can compete and get results in this league.

DC just said on the radio that he will have 3 or 4 players in before the window closes and 1 player will go out on loan tomorrow. Jake gosling will be going on loan tomoz , don't know where though. Spanish team maybe?

Last season: Lost games 1 and 3. Promoted. Season before: Lost games 1 and 3. Promoted. This season: Lost games 1 and 3 ... Omens people. Take em where you can find em, lads. Take em where you can find em. We won game three last year, 1-0 against Luton, that was game three wasn't it? Yes Axegas you are right and season before in the Conference we drew the first match, Grimsby, and lost matches 2 and 3. UTG!

Not going to get too upset over that game/result, in the first half they clearly looked a class above us and bigger, stronger and wiser, but we were two leagues apart last year.
Lucky deflection for the first goal although it should never have been allowed to happen straight from one of our corners, didn't think it was a foul for the 2nd but no keeper is going to stop a free kick like that.
Referee was V.poor for me and bought into their diving but didn't see any of their holding and pulling which was happening every time, but that's where they were that little bit more savvy.
Thought we were much better in the 2nd half and they couldn't have moaned if we would've got a draw in the end, a good lesson learned hopefully for DC and our players last night.
Easter looked a class above again, so good how he holds up play, never gives the ball away and can win free kicks like the one we scored from.
All in all, disappointed to lose but not massively so, they will be up there come the end of the season and with the couple of arrivals that DC has said about we will be comfortable mid table I predict.

On the bench last game and then absent again against Bolton?

On the bench last game and then absent again against Bolton? Montano, Bodin & James seen as better options from the bench, disappointing that Monty was dropped after a v. good performance against Oxford. Seems to me our CM simply played far too deep in the first half, hence it was a different game with Easter pushing up in the second. pretty sure OC was pushed off the ball after he win it initially for Bolton's first goal, but he had a poor game last night.

I can't see why he changed the starting 11 from Sunday. Other than to bring Taylor in for Easter I'd have left it as it was.

Agree, although I wouldn't have dropped Easter as he looked very good on Sunday and again last night when he came on, so I probably would've started with Jammer and Matty up top.

Thought he had a good game - which decisions did he get wrong ? He rightly booked their players when they deserved it. He had his hands full though as it was a physical battle at times. Not the worst ref by a long shot though Bolton knew how to play him. Couldn't agree more. I think in terms of "playing" the ref, we have a lot to learn.

Don't know what the defensive arrangements were for their first goal. We had a corner by the away fans and Hartley went to the far side of the penalty box, about as far away diagonally as he could be from his LB position. If the plan was for a long corner for him to head back across the area that didn't happen. Of course they broke down the right. I think it was Sinclair who made an effort to cover for Hartley, but it was in vain and they scored. Strange positional play by Hartley.
