Bolton fans love The Mem..... We have a crap stadium in a great city and they have a nice stadium in a sh**ty town.

Taylor will notch, not seen a striker playing so confidently in a long time.

Breakaway, straight after our corner? We need to be better against a fast break - didn't we concede a similar one v Sc*thorpe?

This is unfamiliar territory for us isn't it? Sounds like we are playing ok and I'm confident that we have players that can score so....let's see.

This might just be a blessing in disguise. Coming up against one of the favourites this early might just give DC a chance to see the gap between us and them and do something about it before the transfer deadline.

However, it sounds as though we are playing ok? If we lose yet put in an ok performance, that doesn't highlight any 'gap'. Before the melt later-assuming we lose- let's remember, Bolton were playing 2nd tier whilst we were in 4th with virtually the same team.

DC has mentioned it himself but the importance of getting your shots on target and hopefully in the back of the net gets more clinical as you climb the league's. A player missing the target is no better than a player over shooting a pass that lamely goes out for a goal kick. The former may make the crowd go oooo but the outcomeis the same. BBRFC can still get something out of this game but lessons need learning and the Oxford win doesn't take away from the fact the 3 or 4 new players will be needed if the club wants to continue moving forward.

Agree with all you say, perhaps the "gap" is small - one or two things, maybe a bit of pace or control somewhere on the pitch for example. Whatever it is, coming up against a team that were playing at a level we aspire to last season must enable something to be learned.
