Steady flow of new members as we head towards the century mark already!
Just had approval from the club on a great way of promoting The FFS Club that we've been working on for a while, I will post details later to get your approval.
Thanks to everyone who has signed up so far I have a feeling this season could be our best yet 😀

Update:
As you know for a few seasons now we have looked at the possibility of the FFS Club marketing itself to attract more members and to raise our profile. I thought of something a while ago and chatting about it at our AGM and after lots of conversations with the club we have negotiated a deal......
Our whole existence began and has continued on Social Media and its something we'd like to continue. Our proposal is that we will Sponsor Rovers Goals! If you are familiar with the Official Rovers Twitter Feed you will know that when we score the player who scored has his photo tweeted, we have negotiated this Tweet to be Sponsored by The Fan's Forum Sponsor Club!
Sample above from last season, our FFS Club name/logo will appear along the bottom (club are at present working on actual image)
We have suggested £25 per goal scored and this will be raised through our so far successful "GasBill" pledge sysystem (which will launch next week) so our generous "GasBill" participants can pledge say £1 per goal or any amount they see fit/affordable to.
This idea is productive in 5 ways in my opinion:
1. It will raise our profile and attract new members. 2. Will raise money for our football club. 3. Be fun for those that take part as they have with "GasBill" 4. And importantly, could open up a new revenue/sponsorship source for the football club in future seasons, as i'm sure a few businesses may be interested in it. 5. It will make normal supporters feel a part of the football club both in its media and success.
Of course without your approval this can't be sealed and signed off so that is the reason for us posting this now. If we think it has approval from the majority of FFS members this deal will start hopefully in time for next Thursday's Cup Match V. Cardiff. I would like to thank Kerry Price (BRFC Marketing) and Steve Hood (BRFC Social Media Manager) for their help, they have both been fantastic listening and helping us with our idea.
Finally, a massive massive thank you to everyone who has signed up for this season, both myself and Parrot have been blown away by the start we've made and it's all down to you The FFS Club members who continue to be so generous. THANK YOU!
JTS

I am not a "Twitterer!) myself, like a lot on here,so am unaware of this, and just wonder just how the money will be used by the club? Will it go into a "general" pot,or will/can it be used for something else? Sorry if I have not grasped the whole of the concept.
If everyone else is fine with this, then I would go along with it. Not that I personally can afford £1 per goal, but I would contribute something.
Thanks for the hard work.

Thanks for your comments Pat, yes this money will go straight into the football club 'Pot' as you put it. Basically all the money we raise goes into the club and we trust them to use it wisely. We will of course continue to Sponsor up and coming Young Rovers players who otherwise may not attract a sponsor as we always have. This particular idea is about purely raising our profile and hopefully attract more members for seasons to come which will in turn help us sponsor even more Tom Lockyer's of the future!

Sounds ok.
So every time we score a goal, the FFS give the club some money for it!
Isn't this drip feeding money rather than larger cash sums which have more impact? Couldn't we add our footer to the players that we already sponsor for free?

I think it could potentially be a great way of raising our profile whilst having some level of official endorsement from the club.

I think it could potentially be a great way of raising our profile whilst having some level of official endorsement from the club. I think the biggest gain for the club will be identifying this for a future more lucrative commercial sponsor .

I can see that it might "raise the profile",but like 79,I guess I would prefer any FFS money raised to go to something more "tangible",where we can see an end product, rather than being "lost" in a general pot. Buy hey, that's just me. Whatever, I will support my club where I can.

I'm happy with this plan - I sense that the current owners want to improve/develop areas of the club which fans have previously highlighted, so our funds will be going into the pot, rather than a black hole. We will still have the individual sponsorship of players as well.
With FFS being used as a pilot, I can see it may reel in a more lucrative sponsor for this idea next season. Winners all round.
Well done to Jon, Parrot etc for liaising with club to get this off the ground.

Its a great idea lads - im ok with it.
The only thing that needs looking at is the FFS logo. No disrespect to the creator but if its going to sit on the goal graphic it needs updating.
Shall I speak to a couple of artists for their input? It will be simplified
