I think we look pretty good to be fair. A bit sloppy in possession but bright start so far IMO. We definitely look easily as good as we did when we were a football league club!

We are showing our intent with three at the back. Good to see ball on floor and playing it out of defence. I'd like to see more movement from the strikers. An early goal would calm our nerves!

Good in parts, early doors front two look good but cant see any creativity in midfield yet. Need to find a way to get our full backs higher up the pitch.

We've looked dangerous on corners! Their keeper seems to flap at the ball with little conviction. A bit of pressure and better final ball and we might get something here. We are not being out played that's for sure.

Both teams look scared of losing. On that 45, we have nothing to fear. We have to get our forwards into play and get full backs up.

Definitely positives to be taken from the first half! Feeling fairly confident. Observations so far:
- Full backs need to push on far more
- Monkhouse has had a poor game so far - too sloppy in possession, hopefully he improves in the second half
- Sloppy in possession at times in general but we did improve as the half went on so fingers crossed for the second half
- Mansell looks like the set-piece taker we've been begging for at corners/general set pieces for some time
- Brunt has held the ball up wall but is very rusty - terrible first touch so far
- Would be nice to get Sinclair in the game a little more as he's looked good when he's been on the ball
- Defensively we look very good - the back 3 centre backs have been utterly superb and I'll be very surprised if there is a better partnership in the entire division
Overall, promising start - gives us a platform to build on in the second half.

In general I thought we've tried to keep the ball on the deck. Maybe I've had too many pints! |
