Nicholls 6 handled well and looked more composed J. Clarke 7 good game Parkes 7 much improved performance McChrystal 7 solid and organised the back line well Brown 7 Mr consistant Bodin 6 great control some poor decisions when attacking,but always likely to do something special Lines 8 best game this season,he set the standard today and must maintain it Sinclair 6 usual performance from the Duracell man Montano 7 his best game, some lovely crosses,like lines has set the benchmark for his performances Taylor 7.5 Matty is what Matty is,a good footballer who misses chances,so good when he scores Easter 6 worked hard not much chance in front of goal Subs: Gosling not on long Blissett same Clark same Crowd 6 cold wet but happy in the end Ref 4 Carlisle 5 not bad up to the final third where they looked poor today |

Parkes 7 Back to the tom of old today.Solid.
McChrystal 7 No nonsense display.
Brown 7 Got up and down very well,silly booking though.
Bodin 6.5 Again showed some nice touches.
Lines 8.5 Superb. Looked a class above.
Sinclair 7.5 Unlucky to be booked so early,but gave his all as usual.
Montano 8 He was terrific at times.Well done Monty.
Taylor 8 Scored two goals and a good all round display.
Easter 7 Held the ball up well today.Very good second half.
Subs: Gosling 6 Got away a decent strike which their keeper did well to parry.
Blissett Not on long enough.
Crowd 8 Great today,plenty of singing in the rain and a light show.
Ref 3 Over fussy
Carlisle 5 No end product.

Nicholls- 6: nothing wrong and clean sheet. Did well, without loads to do. Recent Performances have meant there's aura of panic surrounding him.
J. Clarke- 7. Was fantastic and has been an absolute steal. It's a shame we can't play with 2 right backs. Probably the most hard done rovers player. Plays well and gets dropped. Understandable, as leadbitter has looked fantastic.
Parkes- 7. Today we got good Parkes. Bought the ball out of defense well. Good passes too. Well done Tom.
McChrystal- 7. Same as Parkes, slightly less influential going forward.
Brown- 7. Probably gets a 7 every game?
Bodin- 6.5. Came and went. Possibly the best touch of anyone out there. Did ok.
Lines- 6.5. This was a lines performance. Great at moments, got an assist. But sometimes a liability in the tackle.
Sinclair- 7 the chap's fantastic- too play the way he does with a yellow card for 85 mins... And for it not to hinder his game is brilliant.
Montano- 6.5. Good crosses. Shot. Looked bright. Decent first league start.
Taylor-8.5. He's a pain in the ass. Might have scored one early too. But he keeps getting in position keeps shooting and he's up to 8 this season!
Easter- 5.5 without panic I say that wasn't his best game. Will hope for more next time.
Subs: Gosling- wasn't in view long enough to judge.
Blisset- wasn't on long enough to judge.
Crowd- good effort in that rain and the run we've had at the mem.
Ref- 5. Many errors- none that really meant anything in the grand scheme.
Carlisle- 4. Not very impressive. But lots of pace and And I think they'll be 10thish this season. Dangerous fixture.

Nicholls 6 - Quiet game for him, but did what he had to confidently.
J. Clarke 7 - Made some vital interceptions and tackles.
Parkes 7 - Defended well and stepped into midfield well.
McChrystal 6 - Solid. Does what he says on the tin.
Brown 7 - Solid and overlapped Montaño well in 2nd half.
Bodin 6 - Not involved as much as usual, but classy touch and tricky on the ball.
Lines 7 - The surging runs were back and great assist for 1st goal.
Sinclair 7 - Battled.
Montano 7 - Very dangerous in 1st half, faded a bit in 2nd but put in a few brilliant crosses.
Taylor 8.5 - Great all round game and goals were very well taken.
Easter 6 - Quiet game but battled and held the ball up well. Didn't quite happen for him today.
Subs: Gosling 6 - Dangerous on the left after he came on.
Blissett N/A
Crowd 6 - Great numbers on a rainy day.

Nicholls 6 looked a bit more confident today, I think the generous applause from the Blackthorn end after a punch under pressure boosted his confidence. J. Clarke 7.5 a strong performance Parkes 7 getting back to the standard we expect of him McChrystal 7 a typical Macca game strong,no-nonsense captains game,led by example Brown 7 Mr reliable Bodin 6.5 not spectacular but adds a balance and quality to the right side Lines 8 m.o.m His best game of the season , he looked more the player we know he can be. Sinclair 7.5 Action Man always gives 100% Montano 7.5 a proper winger who can actually supply good and varied crosses,he needs more starts. Taylor 8 a good all round performance and two good finishes Easter 6.5 an ok game, he has the quality but he isnt a game changer. Subs: Gosling 6 not on long but hit a good shot that troubled the keeper Blissett not on long enough Crowd 7 cold.wet and happy! Ref 4 poor and erratic Carlisle 5 well beaten. |

Bodin 6 Couple of classy touches but too quiet for my liking.
Lines 7.5 Amazing how good he can look when he puts the effort in. Frustrates me that he never shoots though!
Sinclair 6.5 Another all action performance. Heart in mouth for the yellow.
Montano 7.5 Best player first half. How many crosses did he put in the box? A shame there was nobody on the end of them. Faded 2nd half. Kept hold of the ball well too. Should keep his place.
Taylor 7.5 Great performance from Matty and oozed confidence after the first goal. Took his goals well. Should have scored early on too.
Easter 6 Held the ball fairly well but like Bodin he didn't have enough impact on the game. Seems to come too deep with back to goal too much.
Subs: Gosling N/A
Blissett N/A
Crowd 6. Dead for large parts but great in others.
Ref 6 Had a lot better and a lot worse refs. The linesman our end on the other hand was absolutely shocking.
Carlisle 4.5 No great threat. Asamoah looked their most dangerous player.

Taylor 7.6 Two well taken goals and did not let the early chance he had affect him MoM
Easter 5 Some good hold up play and lay offs, but when put through his lack the pace shows.

Blissett Not on long enough, just wish he would put himself about a bit more
Crowd 5 Good backing considering the weather, at last the team has given us a home win.
Ref 5 He would fit into the National Leauge quite nicely

Clarke 5.5 ok performance
Parkes 7.5 back to the player I know he is
McCrystal 7.5 consistently our best defender
Brown 7 good all round performance
Bodin 5 anonymous for most of the game
Lines 9 his surging runs and imaginative passing made him look a class above
Sinclair 6 ran about a lot but still goes backward far too much with the ball
Montano 7 looked good on the ball but concentration when not in possession needs upping
Taylor 6.5 would have had 1 more point but for 2 glaring misses
Easter 5 tried hard but not the player he was
Gosling 5 in weather fit for ducks though he would have felt at home,but not
Blissett 4 what can I say plays like a tiller girl

J. Clarke 7 Won his battle looked more assured.
Parkes 7 Back to the Parkesy we know and love.
McChrystal 7 Leader of men with a natural ability to get rid.
Brown 7 Mr consistent.
Bodin 6 Quiet game but could open any game up at any time with a trick or piece of skill.
Lines 8 MOTM good surging runs, an assist and almost back to his best.
Sinclair 7 all action he is worth 2 men.
Montano 7 fantastic crosses first half kept ball well.
Taylor 7 worked hard, missed a few but importantly scored a few.
Easter 6 worked hard needs a goal.
Subs: Gosling 5 worked keeper.
Blissett not on long enough but the crowd mocking him was awful.
