Nicholls 7 good saves, confident J. Clarke 5 ok - poor balls from the back Lockyer 6 tigerish, but poor passing Parkes 4 woeful first half - a little better 2nd.Doesn't get tight to players Brown 6.5 very solid, some good crosses, and charged down wing supporting attacks Bodin 6.5 silky skills, doesn't lose ball, needs to go at players more Lines 7 strong in 2nd half, possibly should've scored late on Sinclair 7 wins the balls, tracks back, always available Gosling 4 jogged around - where is the passion Taylor 6 dangerous first half - 3 shots on target ? Easter 6 solid game, looked like a poor header first half when in a great position Subs: Montano 6.5 yep - some pace and tricks - looked hungry Harrison 6 cool penalty, but really should've won it with diving header Lucas on too short ., but set up chance for Harrison with cushioned header Crowd 8 ( Rovers fans: 1/3 after a scrap, 1/3 this is a larf attitude and 1/3 really got behind the team. What a shame my 8 year old boy had to hear chants of MURDER ringing in his ears instead of PRO- ROVERS songs most of the 2nd half. Ref 7 good - got the major calls right. Plymouth 7 good team, with threats up front ( n0. 20 looks a player) but we generally controlled midfield. Good fight back from Rovers and then had the best chances to win it. Thank god we stopped 4 straight defeats and 4 games with no goals. Hopefully something to build on. Possibly Montano on from the start. Taylor and Easter to start again, Taylor was very lively first half and troubled their backline. the front two deserve better service from the back 3 !!

Nicholls 8 Good confident performance including one outstanding save in the 2nd half
J. Clarke 6.5 Decent enough and got forward a bit in the second half Lockyer 7.5 The usual solid performance that I've come to expect from our Tom Parkes 7 Looked a bit more like his old self today, but still doesn't seem as sharp as last season Brown 7.5 Got forward well especially in the 2nd half and looked lively
Bodin 7 Worked hard on the ball but often lacked close support from teamates Lines 6.5 OK performance but not as commanding as recent Sinclair 7.5 The usual workmanlike never say die stuff Gosling 6 Quiet and a bit one paced
Taylor 2 Dire. markczgas must have watched a different game to me as Taylor was mostly a passenger and made little if any worthwhile contribution. DC has to stop picking him. Easter 6.5 Held the ball well but still doesn't look fit enough. Would have liked to have seen some goal efforts.
Subs: Montano 6 Harrison 8 A real live wire with the bit between his teeth Lucas 7 An OK start, moves clumsily but provides a physical presence and wanted to be involved.
Crowd 8 Ref 7 Plymouth 6.5

Nichols 8 Definately a good keeper. Dealt well with some questionable passbacks and a number of good saves not forgetting the worldy reaction tip over the top. Clarke 7.5 Mr reliable, superb defender but works hard to get forward with only limited success. Lockyer 7.5 Great defending summed up by a great challenge on the edge of the box where he came cleanly away with the ball despite desperate Argyle appeals. Distribution still not the best. Parkes 6 Still not impressed with him this season, silly booking early doors which probably did not help his case. Brown 7.5 As ever a typical Brown performance. Bodin 7.5 Worked hard, good skills but to often let down by lack of support by others who on one occasion looked on as he tried to retain possession with four men on his case. Lines 6.5 Steady but uninspiring especially when it looked easier to get a shot away than the choice he took falling over his own feet and appealing for a penalty. Sinclair 7.5 Usual all action display, unsettled Plymouth with his terrier like play. Gosling 5.5 One or two good bits but that was about all. Taylor 2 Powder puff shooting and heading and challenging. An embarassment! Easter 6.5 Tried his hardest but as I have said before let down by a lack of pace although the skills are clear to be seen.
Montano 6.5 Definately played a part in our late attempts to win the game. Lucas 6.5. Could prove to be the big awkward number nine were looking for. Definately a handful. Harrison 7.5 Stupid booking but terrorised Plymouth unlike powderpuff Taylor.

Nichols 7.5 Dealt with everything well.
Clarke 7.5 Back to his best and came out on top of most of his battles.
Lockyer 8 MOM The pick of the defence for me
Parkes 6.5 Better than last week Brown 7.5 A typical Brown performance.
Bodin 7 Possesses good skills
Lines 7 At times he was awesome with his range of passing
Sinclair 7.5 Good all action display
Gosling 5 Goes missing far too much though did in the first half put over a couple of great crosses.
Taylor 5 Not at his best but did cause Argyle problems with his clever runs but lacks the killer touch.
Easter 7 Silky skills and always uses the ball well.
Montano 6.5 One run when he came on showed that he does have something to offer Lucas 6.5. Can we save money we haven't got because he could be the answer. Harrison 7.5 Unnecessary booking but led Plymouth a merry dance Crowd 7 Ref 7 Some awful decisions but overall a good performance Plymouth 8 Very impressed with the speed of their breaking out from defence to attack.

Just wonder why some of you gave Harrison such high marks ?? yes did score penalty. But also screwed a good chance wide when set up by Easter and then should've buried the diving header but put it too close to the keeper ? Taylor tested their keeper 3 times and did the donkey work in first half finding excellent positions when their defence was fresh !
Oh well , each to their own.
One other thing concerned me about our tactics. Everyone there will agree that Taylor and Easter had no chance against their back line in the air, but Nicholls didn't do any low kicks or throw outs once !? Don't know if this was about playing it safe after 3 defeats but something DC should surely try to change. Accrington keeper last week used throw outs very effectively.

I'm sorry Mark but were you at the match yesterday. The number of times Nicholls threw the ball out was only exceeded by the number of times he looked to throw it out but no one was looking for it. The home crowd got on at him several times for that.

Nicholls 7 Looks a fantastic keeper assured and a wonderful reaction save.
J. Clarke 6 did ok looked solid. Lockyer 7 stand out defender for us. Parkes 6 not in form but still doing a job. Brown 6 consistent tried to get forward.
Bodin 6 good touches needs to take it to his opponent to be more effective. Lines 8 MOTM ran the show for me. Passing and forward runs of pure quality for L2. Sinclair 7 him and lines forming a great partnership. Typical Sincs performance. Gosling 5 average game needs to contribute more.
Taylor 5 worked hard but needs to add more to his game if he is to cut it at L2 level. Easter 6 good on the ball linked up well with midfield.
Subs: Montano 5 skilful needs a start. Harrison 5 put away the pen well BUT missed 2 chances and got booked. Lucas 6 won header for pen and won header for Ellis chance at the death. Good impact.
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Plymouth 7 playoffs min.

Nicholls 7 Excellent game, one brilliant save and dealt with most things comfortably, and did look to use the ball instead of just a punt
J. Clarke 6.5 Good game, left without support at times, Bodin did not help much. Lockyer 8 MoM Parkes 6.5 Generally sound, stupid booking Brown 7 Solid game in defence, got forward quite well
Bodin 6 Looked good on the ball and does not lose it very often, there were a few times when Clarke needed an outlet and help but Bodin did not provide it Lines 7 Passed quite well, but the dive in their area was laughable Sinclair 7 Usual energetic display Gosling 4 Some good passes made but overall disappointing
Taylor 4 As usual runs into positions but no service to back it up Easter 5 Some good play at times but equally he either does not win the ball or gives it away through his lack of pace
Subs: Montano 6 Showed some promise at last Harrison 6 Would have been more but for his stupid booking, however he frightened Argyle to bits when he came on, deserved a goal Lucas 5.5 Looks promising
Crowd, Gas 7, Plymouth 7 albeit they need the help of a drum Ref 6 Plymouth 7 Both teams made it an excellent game to watch and you can see why they are up around the top, their No. 20 looked ok
Unfortunately I was in the Plymouth end with my wife who comes from Plymouth, it was great to hear their supporters from the start saying we were a dirty, time wasting side and the Ref was rubbish, and when Harrison came on he was the only player we have of any note.

Nichols 6 One great save, owns the box whick is a must for a top keeper Clarke 6 Competent, did his job without standing out Lockyer 7.5 My MOM - is playing with masses of confidence at the moment, nearly blue it with overconfidence at one point but recovered well. Parkes 6 Solid enough Brown 6 Generally very good but let his man go for the goal so -1 for that Bodin 7 Best we have seen of him yesterday. Hate it when wingers try tyo beat the same man 3 times which he did. Just get it done man !!! Lines 7 Quality but sometimes just a bit too deep for me. Want him influencing things in the final third, not 5 yards in front of the two Toms Sinclair 6 Action man performance as usual but (and I almost feel guilty saying this) doesnt have the required quality up against the better midfields. Yesterday was an example of this Gosling 5 Some nice stuff occasionally but not often enough Taylor 5 A typical performance, good movement and touches but doesnt appear to be cutting it at League level Easter 6 Bit of an enigma, oozes quality at times but it didnt quite work for him yesterday. I am convinced he will come good but it is taking a lot longer than expected. Montano 7 Upped the pace and we looked far more threatening when he and Harrison came on. Promising performance. Lucas 6. Looked a littlslow but made the pen and nearly made the winner, a promising start. Harrison 7.5 Changed the game when he came on, defence looked scared of him. Nearly grabbed the winner
Crowd 6 - good atmosphere, shame some were more interested in confronting the stewards than watching the game. Ref 7 - nice to have someone reasonably competent - one or two odd decisions but better than most
Plymouth 8 Good side who were better than us for good parts of the game. Their MOM has to be the keeper for his last minute save

Tom Lockyer is your Man of the Match for the second game in a row with an improved score of 7.56. Lee Nicholls is again in second place for the second game in a row.
The starting XI average was 6.40. James Clarke scored a 6.39, the first time he has been below the team average all season. He was the last ever-present to be above average in every single game, although Leadbitter and Nicholls have been above the team average in all of their appearances.
This was rated as the best referee we have played with this season. Chris Sarginson's 6.89 was better than the 6.86 from the referee in the Yeovil game.
Nicholls 7.2
J. Clarke 6.4 Lockyer 7.6 Parkes 6.2 Brown 6.9
Bodin 6.8 Lines 6.8 Sinclair 7.1 Gosling 4.9
Taylor 4.3 Easter 6.1
Subs: Montano 6.1 Harrison 6.8 Lucas 5.9
Crowd 7.4 Ref 6.9 Plymouth 7.1
