Cheers RD, I can't help but feel that someone is telling porkies to the OP or someone else and its all just got out of hand. The latest rumour is so unbelievably wild that yes - if (more likely when) it is proven to be incorrect - it will look as though their source is having (one hell of) a laugh at their expense. At which point both this thread and the other thread will be locked. Of course if we really are being taken over by Arab Princes and multi-billionaires then this (and the other thread) may have some mileage yet! |

Sorry folks i dont know Browner and i haven't been to skool for a good while now.
Anyway Browner and I have been fed different info on the origins of this consortium... So someone is being fed bullshit.
All i can say is we shall see. My source has proved accurate in the past BUT this 'consortium thing' is proving an easy way to bait us gasheads so wouldn't be surprised if mis information was being spread to get us all giddy. Browner and my sources differences prove this unless there's been a mistake but i doubt it.
I am a grounded gashead; having lived through times of no stadium to grand plans that never made it off the drawing board. I know all too well what it is like to get your hopes up and be let down.
So why am i posting and adding to this farcical thread: because i've no reason to doubt my source, because i cant keep a secret about my beloved rovers and because i want the kudos when it comes true.
But i still have my doubts about my sources source...

Joking aside I've always hated football clubs who just buy their way up the leagues - sure it would be nice to look down our noses at The Sh*t, but it would be even nicer if we could do that with our present setup, if you get my drift.
Anyway, we'll know next week if there is any truth in this rumour, but just bear in mind what foreign ownership achieved for Portsmouth and maybe it's not all wine and roses.
