Higgs is relying on winning £30 mill off Sainsburys, then if he does he will bring in 2 or 3 "investors" each of whom cough up £5 million to pay for the build. Plan B could be: 1) Part ownwership and rent. (2) Just rent and the sale of the Mem for housing pays off our debt or (3)To sell to a consortium. Whatever we wont know for at least a month. Gotta say spot on LP! I personally (just opinion) think we will only ever move forward liked we all dream off in UWE with SUBSTANTIAL investment which leans me to the 50 million plus on offer from the consortium* I thought a deal may have been on the way and was pretty chipper earlier but now if i'm honest i am like my good friend Hugo very worried in fact sh**ting myself! I honestly think the next few months will determine our future for decades and i so want us to move on from the 'ragbag' tag cause personally i'm sick of it. I repeat i have no bad feelings toward our board, am i doubtful they can take us forward? Well on track record - yes (sadly) That aside i think the Consortium* should be more upfront and i personally think they are dragging their feet and should basically put up or shut up (oops there goes my info! ha ha). My plea to our board/interested parties would be this: "You ought to know the lifeline of a club is its supporters and so many of us care so much its bloody unhealthy - So please, please tell us whats happening or you will alienate the very people you need most!"The next few months could be the biggest for us in a long, long time. I think we all need to cross our fingers that our wonderful, long suffering club and fans are put first above ALL else - UTG! Jon - You said on t'other forum, "but i now know If a deal has been done it is not with the consortium i know of " So, if the consortium that was the cause of this thread being started have now backed off, can you (or others ITK) reveal who they were? If not, why not?

The appeal hearing is, what, two weeks today? I would guess that if nothing has been said to stop the appeal then nothing will be agreed until after the judges had down their decision, which could be weeks, possibly not until March/April. Already looking forward to the April Fool's Day posts.
On which note and as I am so often wrong (at least that is what my wife tells me) then expect all to be revealed on 28 January once NH has had his day(s) in court.

But i'll repeat something i said early on in this thread: If i have been duped or puposely strung along in my opinion, i will have no hesitation in going out with a bang. Now there's a sentence you can go off on a tangent with

Jon - The point I am trying to make is this. At the start of this thread (in the year 15) we were told by yourself, and others ITK, that the 'consortium' were the real deal. This was the moment that all Rovers fans had been waiting for for years. The 'Consortium' would be fantastic for the club. All we had to do was be patient. Now, apparently, that 'Consortium' are not involved in any negotiations. They are history for whatever reason. Now we have someone else with a bid on the table. Once again we are told by yourself that this new deal is the bees knees, it's the real deal and we should all get excited about it. Why should we?
On t'other forum you said, Quote "The sad thing is we'll have no real insight to any decisions and will just be fed spin and I say that with sadness."
Have you fallen into that trap? Are you and others ITK just being used to 'feed spin' to the rest of us ? You and the others ITK seem to have more 'insight' into what is happening, yet you are just feeding us spin. I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but aren't you doing the very same thing that you find sad in others?
If the original 'Consortium' deal is dead and buried, then reveal what you know about that. Yes, you gave your word not to say anything, but in respect, that deal was not covered by the Official Secrets Act was it!
I cannot get excited about yet another phantom rumour/deal. In fact, I get more depressed with every rumoured switch of the story. I find the constant drip of non-information is actually depressing. I really do hope that there is something in the pipeline, I really do, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I was under the impression the opposite was true and the latest rumoured deal could be the dreaded Plan B, where we once again lose ownership of our own ground? The bigger question though is who is feeding this info to JTS and for what purposes, it has to be somebody with direct access to the BOD?

Pfft Plan B, let's just fast forward to plan F (fecked). Now the good thing about plan F, relocating to the Downs is the rebuild time ( 25 mins ). Knock in a dozen metal stakes for the rope around the pitch. We can be in by 9:30 today. Great view as well ..... for the first 700 punters. Smell the liniment you lucky people.

"Although sources in the north west claim Clough's proposed move to Ashton Gate remains under discussion, Wanderers are speaking to three different consortiums in a bid to thrash out a takeover deal that would preclude them from having to sell their best players."
Blimey, three consortiums!

Whatever supposed announcement is being made today is not connected ( as far as I am aware) to the consortium I am aware of.
Suffice to say the one I know of have not gone away, and big strides forward are imminent.
