And the MSP loan has to be paid in September doesn't it? Next year is clearly sh** or bust. Six weeks till the court case, then the future of the club will have to be decided. Unless we win the Appeal then it could drag on for another couple of years if Sainsbury's take it to the Supreme Court and NH waits to see the final outcome? In some ways losing maybe better than winning! I cannot see us winning the appeal, so let's crack on after the decision is given.

NH has said on a couple of occasions that we will not be paying any rent on a new stadium.
He has either found an oil sheik who is a life long supporter, twisting words yet again, I.e. We will pay for leasing the ground at about £10-20k per match but NOT rent, or he's telling porkies.
You pays yer money and take yer choice.

Does it not get frustrating that you keep suggesting that something is just around the corner and then your 'goalposts' keep being moved for you. Are you suggesting that you think everything could be signed and sealed within a few weeks (few months), contactors & the funds to pay them will be in place and that the physical construction process could begin within a few weeks or when you say new year do you mean summer, autum or even New Year 2017? The general consensus sems to be that nothing is going to move before after the appeal at the end of January. Surely there cant be a construction company with a large group of contractors just wiating to go. I would think mid to late next year would be around the time that things could get going. When does PP for the original plans expire? Dave - No problem at all.
If you read the post, it clearly said in the new year. That's some time between Jan and Dec.
Yes I still believe that it will be built, by who may be more to the point. Even if you discount the "consortium", that word that NH does not like, NH has said the stadium will be built to the original specification.
If he has found £30m+ from somewhere, a lot of Gasheads will be happy. Me, I'd like to know how he has found that money and what terms this money will have on BRFC. I do not believe that we will win the appeal and Sainsbury's will be forced to pay us the £28m contract price.
Will anything happen before the Appeal, I have no idea.
The next interesting date will be BRFC AGM, last year it was on 03/03/2015, no idea when it will take place this year. It will be interesting to see the clubs debts at June 2015. I cannot see they will be lower that the previous accounts debts and expect them to increase by a few million.
I agree - there is no reason why it will not be built regardless of the Sainsburys case. Securing the money to build - either by the present Board or a consortium should prove no problem. UWE (and South Glos planners) will insist that it is to the original spec BUT what will be of concern to supporters is on what financial terms the money is provided. The Board could sell us to the devil (in desperation to deliver) - or the consortium may be the wrong fit We are no longer a family club we are in the hands of moneymen.

That is slightly below the belt. Wimbledons new ground is primarily being funded by a major house building company and Merton council. 650 properties are being built along with many amenities. All in conjunction with the local council. Minimal investment from Wimbledon AFC but obviously they are getting their new Stadium. The money is not coming out of their own back pocket by any means so no comparison whatsoever. and that is exactly how Brentford have got their ground going

The Board could sell us to the devil (in desperation to deliver) - or the consortium may be the wrong fit We are no longer a family club we are in the hands of moneymen. I have feared that for a long time BUT if I was a Liverpool, Man City or even Bournemouth supporter I could live with a "very wealthy" person who is not a 100% Gashead, being a main investor in the club. If there is a "very wealthy" 100% Gashead, I think we would have heard of him/her. My definition of wealthy, is someone who has access to £40m+
Some Gasheads have raised concerns that any investor may want to capitalise any asset we have. If we move to UWE, where is the substantial asset as we will not own the stadium, only the Lease and any substantial revenue stream will not happen until we are in at least the Championship. NH says he wants to be sure we will not lose our identity. I assume he means playing in other than blue and white quarters or changing the name to XYZ Rovers. Hull and Cardiff have tried that without success.
The main asset for any investor is the land surrounding the stadium site. If it was possible to use that for hotels and/or other businesses with the MOD and UWE sitting next door is a potential goldmine.
If there is now more than one offer on the table, I hope that NH will tell all the Directors of these offers and he could even go as far as far as telling ALL the shareholders of these offers.
Remember NH has said that UWE will be built, starting in 2016, to the original specification even if we do not win the Appeal and we will not be paying any rent.

Actually they've stopped putting it there as miscreants were releasing private information :-) I noticed at the last home game that the "guests" notice was missing from the "guests bar" in the West Stand.
As it was there for all West stand supporters to read, it could hardly be considered to be private information.
Security guard got a bollocking, it was considered private, just no one told them......now all you see even on boxes is 'Nick Higgs guests x5'
