Good result somewhat soured by Ellis's sending off.
You could see that coming. After he was booked. Then when Clough should
have been sent off Ellis was in the thick of it. Mistake by DC not seeing
what was coming and taking hm off.

Ellis first yellow silly, in fairness for the second he went for the ball with his eye on it, keeper knew what to do to con ref. people would have been calling him lazy if he made no effort to go for the ball.

Would have taken that before the game, now got to finish the job off at the Mem! Shame about Ellis but I'm sure no-one will be more gutted than him at getting sent off given the repercussions it may have for him and the club. Fortunately no harm done on the night and bliss gets his chance on Sunday.

Football, like life isn't black and white. Ellis has made a major contribution this season and still can if we get to Wembley. However, it was a moment of madness and his reaction afterwards shows that he is still immature. Therefore, Clarke deserves masses of credit for getting the best out of him in the last few months. Ellis is a rough diamond and if he can stay grounded he will have a great career. Totally trust Blissett to fill in for him on Sunday. UTG!
