Nah, over a few months Ward will get results. Our mistake (like Carlisle and Colchester before us) was keeping him after that six month period*. *I'd like to point out that the above is hindsight. Even though I knew about his 'good six month' trait from Carlisle and Colchester, don't think anyone would have had the nerve to ask him to step aside after he nearly got us into the play-offs at the end of 12/13. You could be right mate. Personally I think he's a washed up has-been (brutally harsh perhaps, but that's my opinion).

I thought the reason he stopped down as our manager was his wife was seriously ill? Regardless given his age and recent failings why doesn't he just throw in the towel at least as far as management is concerned.

He came to rescue us, and rescue us he did. He was in his way to be DoF at Plymouth, so would have made sense to be DoF with us. Seems to me nobody had the balls to have an honest discussion and find what was best for all parties involved.

If he went back to be hands-on mgr at chelters i would be worried / surprised.
