The saying let the ball do the work is still true, we were totally shattered second half, that's the problem with the press, we can't keep it up all game. Omechere was limping within minutes of coming on, Thomas didn't look interested, the subs made us weaker. As for Crawley, they'll be relegated, the poorest I've seen this season and we were lucky to get a point. The sad fact is Crawley should have one so what does that say about us. Excuses after excuses so time to get rid of Taylor Crawley should have One what? They should have been 3 down at half time. π€·ββοΈ.

Well this is an entirely different point. If you want us to be promoted then Taylor needs more than an (estimated) midtable budget. Since heβs come in, heβs bought Β£1.5m of players but sold Β£1.2/3m - you donβt get promoted on Β£200k net transfers. But overall youβre right, we absolutely should have won that today and itβs 4 points dropped the past 2 home games. What other Rovers manager has ever had Β£1.5m to spend on players? Crawley probably spent peanuts, if anything, in comparison. We could have picked up free transfers as good (or bad?) as PC & RS perform. Itβs a stupid question Topper because it doesnβt take into account inflation, nor does it take back the increased transfer spending to stay competitive. Itβs like calling someone a genius for buying a house in London 70 years ago for Β£30k. Theyre also 5 points below us and going down. Looks like they spent Β£770k this summer, all on one player. Smashing our transfer record.

And people wonder why Thomas doesnβt get in the team. Absolutely appalling He should have been put out wide,i would have switched Forde in the middle with Promise.

As said earlier in the thread its baffling how Taylor constantly seems to make us worse when he makes subs.

Very good first half, very poor second half. When youβre on top and creating chances you have to take them. Up to 14th in the league which is around where I thought weβd finish at the beginning of the season so not all doom and gloom but both of our centre forwards look either lazy or overweight or both and arenβt scoring. We're only up to 14th as virtually nobody else played today, drawing two home games usually leads to a team dropping down the league.

Seems like some players thought they only had to turn up second half and we would get the 3 points.
Poor substitutions taking off those playing ok, thankfully keeper kept us in it.

Kicking ball out of play . At least twice by Crawley players. Forde get second yellow and sent off. Where oh where is the consistency . Allison the ref I rate but he had a shocking second half Can't recall the first one but the ref probably didn't give the second as substitutions were made so no reason to book for kicking the ball away at that throw as the ref was going to stop the game anyway. Good refereeing that.

The subs killed us.
54 mins to take off what had pretty much been our best player first half is mental.

Genuine question, if Taylor was sacked tonight, how would you feel?

No chance,he cant play with his back to goal,he is not strong enough, he has to receive the ball in front of him so he can take players on.

They should have been 3 down at half time. π€·ββοΈ. Problem is the game doesn't end at half time, if it wasn't for two very good saves by JG we would have lost, as we wouldn't have come back from going 1-0 down late in the game. Can you imagine the likes of Barnsley or Peterborough letting us take the game to them late in the second half if it was 0-0, more likely they'd be throwing everything at us, including the kitchen sink. I find it baffling why fans support MT, he's not like DC or Holloway, he's just a random manager who probably won't careless about Rovers once he departs.

Like the owners would not make a good fist of finding anyone better to lead the circus Gary Rowett, if the rumours are true, could hardly be any worse? Starting to think Holloway might have been a decent choice, not that the present owners would ever employ him.

Yep ,poor finishing in the first half cost us the 3 points ,that's not MTs fault and if we had won 3-0 there would no criticism on here!! Quite correct. But we didn`t win 3-0. We didn`t win at all. And IF Crawley`s shooting hadn`t been so wayward in the second half, we wouldn`t have got a draw either.
