Just got back.. Nice day with some of you... Early doors at Anchor offered a free drink... mucho gracious... Shame no live football on offer though. Other places were more welcoming. Nice with a new friend into the mix... Anyhoos onto less important things: On a misty Mem afternoon /eve, I thought a draw was a fair result. Really liked their no14, seemed to sweep up everything in front of their defence, Lincoln came down with a fair following, all piled into new stand but majority stood up, and one moment of magic made Lindsay a bit of a sausage as he ended up on his @rse, nutmegged and ball in net. I thought they defended well. So did we. I thought our mid out performed theirs in first half, but ran out of ideas in second. Both teams missed easier chances, and I think even though Lincoln finished the game stronger, both teams would be content with the draw. If I'm right, forgetting the crazy boycott cup, that's 2 defeats in last 7 for MT. 4 wins, 1 draw, and defeats against Wycombe (top) and Huddersfield away (graveyard) so we are where we are to be expected, including today playing a team in play offs with momentum....can anyone seriously say they 100% expected us to win today before a ball was kicked? Most would have taken a draw. It could have gone either way, I thought we were good for the result and competed well. CT seems to be going from strength to strength. Wilson backed him up. TM for me had a poor match where his play wasn't picked up by the rest of the team and a bit of a weak link . Fantastic solo claim of the ball and shot from Forde....his other link plays and runs were great to see....more from him please! But for me, Mola my m o m as he seemed to flow with confidence, nothing went past him and even the tweak in formation after being Forbes on didn't sway him. Excellent engine on him, a key player today. Mid done ok, and generally we defended well - as they did - so quite content tonight after the juice of the apple subsides. Decent result, MT. Decent run of form, we look a bit more composed and organised. Lincoln still have a lot of work to do, you can see why they're dangerous...if there's not much between us and we're validly competing v a team in play offs in this division I think most Gas would be content with this at this stage in season.. More to come... UptheGas! I've just got back too. Pretty much agree with all comments. Would've bitten your hand off for a point that the beginning. The only negative for me was that we brought Forbes on too early. We then sat back and it's no coincidence that was their best part of the game. I felt the game was there for the taking, they didn't like it up them. I was so surprised what a long ball team they were, made us look like we were playing expansive football. What I can see is that their forward line are very quick. They got the ball from the back to the front very quickly when we sometimes spend too much time on the ball. Not much in it. Don't think we did sit back once we brought on Forbes, the bigger issue was Martin tiring and the having to be replaced by Bilonga, we did well to still take the game to Lincoln with a young wing back as our CF. If we did move the ball fast fans would moan about MT just playing route one football? We need to get the right wing working as well as the left wing, perhaps Senior will do that when he's finally fit.

Thoroughly enjoyed that today and it was the proverbial game of two halves...us 1st, them second. Fair play to Lincoln who didn't play for the draw and kept the game open.
Shaq Forde, take a bow lad. Top game. Ditto Kamil Conteh, Jimmy Wilson, Clinton Mola, Chris (Dark Arts) Martin and Wardy when he came on.
Felt sorry for Taylor Moore as he was plainly uncomfortable playing so far put of position, but he never gave up.
Loads of positives today and if we get 3 points against Gatwick FC, Mr T will be safe for a while, which has to be good for everyone.
UTFG and nice to see Wael in the CS Club beforehand. ๐ดโโ ๏ธ

Not a huge amount of quality in the match but more spirited than previous games at the Mem with our defence looking pretty solid - especially Connor Taylor who was superb ((Glad Iโm not one of those who has slagged him off most of the season as it was only a matter of time before class and confidence shone through). It was quite an even contest although putting my blue tinted spectacles on Iโd say we maybe edged it(?). Overall Iโm happy with a point today provided we turn up and see off Crawley next week. Btw where was Luke Thomas? I hope he had a minor injury as if heโs been left out by the manager that is an absolute embarrassment. Is MT going to let everyone have a go in the attacking central midfield position except our most technically gifted player?

LT was out injured today, if he hadn't been then he'd have surely played some part in the game.

Once Senior and Hunt return it'll be interesting to see where Moore fits into the back line.

Come on guys, that (TM) was the worst performance in a rovers shirt since Chris Beardsley. It was laughable.
Awful game, no quality, we need some proper balanced full backs thatโs so clear to see, especially at home, but also I get playing 4 x CBโs and 2 x DMโs make us very hard to break down.

It's similar to complaining about Bilongo playing at CF when he was the only option.

Weโve got proper right backs in Hunt and Senior - unfortunately they are both injured so Moore is the best candidate to stand in and we have to make do. Iโm not sure any squad carries three right backs so just an unlucky situation.

Also nice to hear the Mem noisy again, amazing what a goal and a bit of passion on the pitch does. Biggest thing for me today was its clear the players are really trying for the manager and each other.

I thought he defended ok but with the ball I donโt think he passed to a Rovers shirt the whole match. Iโm not convinced that was entirely because he was right back either. I mean itโs not like he was moved massively out of position is it ? Sometimes players just have a mare and he definitely had one today. A league 1 player should be able to pass the ball to a team mate over a short distance the majority of the time but today it was awful for him. These things happen and I hope he isnโt frozen out because of one horror show and donโt think he will be.

Iโve seen players skinned by pure opposition skill and pace, but Iโve never seen so many suicide passes to the opposition and mistakes from a RB.

Mola covers left back, Wilson has played right wing back, we never asked Moore to play up front?! The poster just gave his opinion, for the record I like Moore and it was probably a one off. Give the poster a break Topper, you are acting like a Police Officer on here
