Like I said yesterday and the highlights showed, we had loads of chances and should have been out of sight in the 90 minutes. We could have won 8-0 yesterday and the Taylor out gang would say it should have been 9.

Lyndsey not allowed to get forward. Amazing 3 goals he has now scored from the edge of our own area

It’s probably just me, and of course not relevant to us, but I thought Weston were absolutely awful too. Not a single creative or skilful player in the team, and Reid’s performance has to be one of the most embarrassing I’ve ever seen. If they do get promoted I think they will really struggle. But of course none of that excuses how poor we were!

Lyndsey not allowed to get forward. Amazing 3 goals he has now scored from the edge of our own area Lindsey never seems to bring the ball forward like Ward, a midfield of Conteh and Lindsey is never going to be that creative, unfortunately Garrett's been disappointing and Hutchinson seems to suit being out wide rather than a central midfielder. Sending back Garrett, the fact he wasn't in the squad yesterday perhaps indicates he won't be here after January?, and getting a creative CM as to be the priority in January

I’m not sure a creative CM is that urgent tbh. I do think we need players who can take and pass the ball well and one of them at least should be a little more progressive but what I’ve seen is exactly what I thought I’d see with Hutchinson in that role which is a player that’s got licence to roam inside and play across the attacking positions that’s incredibly hard to pick up.
If we can get him and Shaq doing that and full backs like Mola (and senior longer term) bombing forward it may well lend itself to having a more solid centre midfield area to give this players a platform to be more expansive.

Peoples feelings on MT didn't rest on yesterday's game, rather the whole time he's been here. Hopefully our recent form can change minds but the performances will need to improve aswell. Creating chances against WSM is not going to convince anybody I'm afraid, so it's not really one to shout about.

Unfortunately we didn't re-create the Total Football we seen from the Dutch once upon a time, so time for him to go.

Looking forward to the Harrogate v Wrexham highlights. All the TV execs must be disappointed with the result.

I agree with some comments on here, yes we scored 3 really good goals, some great stuff. Yes we missed a few chances, but no way did we deserve to win that game in 90 minutes. I'd expect us to make a lot more chances than that against a part time team, it simply isn't enough. If it wasn't for Griffiths worldie save in the last minute we would be out. I was surprised how easily Taylor Moore was turned a couple of times, gave his man far too much space in our box. What I did find frustrating was how easy it was for Weston to create a chance, litterally one pass or kick down field and they would get a shot in, it seemed to take us five or six passes to get anywhere near their box. I am upbeat though, some good performances in there, lots of effort, we definitely are a work in progress with loads to work on in all areas of the pitch. Look forward to seeing us improve as the season goes on.

Played the part-timers off the park, but couldn't even beat them in 90mins, only 4% more possession, could only get one more shot on target than them, with our GK actually making more saves, during the 120mins it took to beat the butchers, bakers and candlestick makers. 🤣🤣🤣 Embarrassing performance.

Did you watch the game? Quality of shots plays a part and - as the highlights clearly show - we had by far the better chances. We won the tie - the period of the match we did that within is irrelevant, in the same way that winning a game at half time is irrelevant if you haven't won it at full time. Many, many league sides struggled in very similar circumstances - very few smashed the opposition and a couple went out. Couldn't give 2 f**ks about possession. Would rather 10% possession every week than JBs meaningless 5524 passes inside our own area week in, week out.

I was there and the highlights didn't even include possibly the biggest chance of the first half, Dylan Kadji's one-on-one chance, that with a bit more composure he should have buried. I'm sorry, but no matter how much spin you want to put on it, to say we "played them off the park" is a bit of stretch of the imagination. My Weston supporting mates can't believe how bad we were, but having watched every game this season, the 'performance' was far from a surprise to me (and many others watching around me).

Whilst we weren’t at all ‘at it’, we certainly had the majority of the play & definitely the chances. Aside from the #4 scuffing the first half chance, their only other real effort I can recall (aside from the goal) was Reid’s injury time hit that drew an unbelievable save from Griffiths. It was refreshing to have a side rack up so many corners against us yet cause no trouble whatsoever, for once.
