I haven’t got Instagram either. To be clear are we inferring from “stay calm and pass me the ball” that he is moving on? Or is there more than that sentence? If it's "'Stay calm and pass me the ball' and then posts a link to a BBC story from 2020 where he took full control over the club, capitalising the debts." then if it means anything, to me it's more that he's going nowhere, even regaining some authority. If it's the "Nothing is forever" comment then it could be a signal he's moving on. Or it could be nothing and in the absence of news we are making connections where none exist.

Having seen both, I get the feeling he’s bringing in new investments/owners or taking back a bit more control. Although I would trust Roadys opinion on him clearing his stuff out of the club - which makes me doubt that

The "Stay calm.." as been on Wael's Insta for ages and relates to fans panicking after a transfer window closed, although not sure when the link to the BBC story appeared. The "Nothing is forever" was a story uploaded this weekend.

I just hope that there’s new investment/people coming in rather than the current setup taking full control

I can’t see them wanting a new person onboard.

One of the accusations levelled at Wael over the years has been the suggestion he would never relinquish a controlling share which, according to his detractors, is the reason we've failed to get outside investors to come in. No idea if this is merely a way of attacking him or if there is any truth in it. If he is selling up, any thoughts on the apparent change of heart?

I think Wael has retained a controlling share in Dwane Sports, not majority but enough to influence.

Can’t say I have any inside knowledge on this situation but just a “feeling” or an “educated guess” that he’s had very little say in the last 6/9 months and why would you continue to plug losses if that’s the case? It’s a very expensive season ticket!

Dwayne Sports own BRFC right? So Wael as a majority shareholder of Dwayne Sports has the casting vote over anything to do with BRFC?

So Wael as a majority shareholder of Dwayne Sports has the casting vote over anything to do with BRFC? Not quite. Dwane Sports is almost the sole owner of BRFC. The Al-Ss own the majority of DS, not Rovers directly. Wael holds a less than 50% stake in DS, the Al-Ss own the majority of DS. Wael's shareholding is still enough to have a say but not enough to control it. He'll still have costs to bear and responsibilities to manage.

If he his departing and selling up his shareholding it'll be interesting to see who buys it, you'd assume the ALS rather than further external owners. I've no idea how it works for somebody like Wael but could the removal of the non dom status have persuaded Wael that his time was now up in the UK, as of late he does seem to be spending more of his time on football activities in the middle east.

On the subject of Wael he's tweeted an odd message today expressing his disappointment that WSM didn't get a replay, as I'd have thought anybody connected with Rovers was more than happy there weren't any replays this season!!

All seems a bit profile growth after a few months off. Reading podcast, Bristol Rovers President viral tweet. Interesting.

I'm not sure any lower league fans are happy about no replays. It's all been done to please the top 6 Premier League clubs and will end up costing lower league clubs decent money. Where would Exeter be without that Man U replay a few years back? That funded their training ground amongst other things. So Wael is correct in what he said in my opinion.
