Didn't think we could just change kits on a whim, haven't we broken the Conference rules by changing our home kit?

Regardless of rules, on the day the referee is the person in charge - he obviously gave permission to Rovers to wear the yellow.
If he didn't want to allow rules to be flexible he would have insisted on Lincoln wearing one of our other kits.

But there wasn't an issue with Lincoln's kit as far as the officials were concerned, it was DC's decision, hopefully, with the officials approval?

I thought teams only change kits re potential clash on the referees instructions - knowing this tin pot style of legislation we could end up bring fined for breaking conference rules, still can't see why lincoln didn't see this potential problem before boarding their coach for Bristol.

No need to be melodramatic. No rules were broken and no harm done.

lincoln must surely have been trying to pull some kind of stunt with this....
bringing only a blue kit surely wasn't an accident, but what they were trying to achieve other than look like a load of clueless, amateurish morons is anyone's guess....

"Playing in unregistered colours without first obtaining permission"
"Playing in colours that cause a clash, including the goalkeeper"
lincoln should get a fine for breaking rule 7.1 (second part above). Lets hope we have the permission to play in yellow at home.

DC said he decided to change our kit, if so, have Lincoln actually broken any rules themselves, I assume they'll argue there wasn't a colour clash anyway?

Have we ever played, say, Man City or Coventry when the ref decided we could both wear our first kits?

Oddly we've only played Coventry in a pre season friendly, this image suggests they played us in their usual sky blue kit?
Oddly we played Wycombe in the quarters last season which surely is a bigger clash with their blue quarters than yesterday?

Oddly we played Wycombe in the quarters last season which surely is a bigger clash with their blue quarters than yesterday? We played them in the old Third Division back in the 60s and they changed to a horrible all red kit.

Oddly we played Wycombe in the quarters last season which surely is a bigger clash with their blue quarters than yesterday? Istr we specifically asked permission for this ahead of the game, coz in the previous match the ref insisted one of us wear our away kit.

To be fair, in real life the Barnet kit was actually quite pink and not really red. But even so, seems a bit mad.
