Didn't really know where to place this, but someone commented on the Cheltenham Town Facebook page, 'it'll take time for the new players Buckle has brought in to gel'... Just made me chuckle. Why bother slagging off ex-managers ? He didn't!

Lincoln Radio not impressed by Leadbitter, reckon their bloke has the making of him but Dawson covering him well. utter tripe. He had a good game and i would expect him to start all the hpme games. Still tactically naive but will learn. Not often you get pace and height in a full back

We have yet to see the best of Blissett. Taylors best is nothing short of bloody woeful. His attempts at scoring today were shocking. If you are happy with that then so be it.
I need to see the first one again which hit the bar but it seemed it fell to him quickly and he was desperately unlucky for it to come off the underside of the bar, the second one the goalie made a brilliant reflex save, the third one lead to Parkes foul, the forth one was a brilliant shot from distance which the goalie luckily deflected over his goal, the fifth diving header was the only one he should have score but an 3" the other way and it would have been a goal. Anyway last week you were complaining he never looks like scoring more than once this week he looked like scoring 4 or 5 times. Regardless what's the point of constant criticism as until Easter's fit there's no other options, only possibly Harrison but his late attempt cleared the Blackthorn end! He didn't look like scoring 4 or 5 times today. His attempts were incredibly poor.

Thought Leadbitter had a good game today ,he has a great attitude full of running and dangerous on the break and puts in his fair share of tackles.I would put Lockyear back to FB and try Leadbitter in MF next to Manse .

Nasty fans? The beasts!
They're all descended from American airmen anyway - what do they know about football?

True about the ground though. I imagine a few away fans from little teeny-weeny Confernce clubs have made their way up to the Mem expecting to see the full majesty of a "BIG CLUB" stadium and then thought "WTF is this?"

The Mem is a bit of a dog's breakfast, but the West Stand is a bit grander than Conference standard methinks, the middle lump of the East side is big and high and the Blackthorn is a really good end IMO.
If the worst came to the worst, a South Stand and some development of the east side would be ok, don't you think?

Matty was the best player on the pitch today. Could have had a hatrick, set up Blissett after sublime ball control and a great pass to Blissett when he could have shot, ran his socks off as usual and was a constant menace to Lincoln's defence. He has scored 4 goals in the last 7 games since Xmas which is top form, scored 10 goals in the last 21 since he hit form in October. If he keeps up his current form he can reach 20 goals. I really cant understand why he gets so much stick on this forum.

You're bound to get the odd wild card.

Not a happy Imp.... ha ha. They aren't getting to any playoffs if that performance is anyhing to go by. Horrible bloody team. Fouling gits. Got away with a lot. Goalie very unsporting to whack ball out for throwin near our corner flag when we had let the game stop to treat their player when were in possesssion in their half! No attacking intent. Like the guys behind me said it was almost like they were happy to lose by only 2 as it was an improvement in recent away results. At least we can be happy we have a competitive team who mainly play/tackle fairly and put in a shift. if i was an imps fan I'd be far more interested in the lack of effort &skill in my own team than slagging off everything about the oppo.

Not often you get pace and height in a full back Would you pick him over TL in that position? yes. We aren't going to catch Barnet without attacking full backs, or even wing backs. And i can't see us finishing lower than 5th so we mighy as well be more pace/attack minded. In reality i suspect DC will play him for home games and drop him for most away games. Or use him as a wingback in a 3 / 5 man defence.

Points from my neutral Arsenal supporting mate which I thought were interesting: Very professional performance. It almost looked like an FA game against a lower league team the way Lincoln just closed shop right from the off. Described us as "fast and direct" but with too many long aerial passes (don't we all know). Interestingly felt Blissett was lazy in general play. No dummys or much movement at all. However right after he'd said that Blissett did a brilliant piece of defending so he had to take that back a bit. Strange. Last week at Dartford there were nowhere near enough on a pitch that demanded long aerial passes to keep the ball out of the mud.

It was my brothers first game this season (he was up from Bournemouth for the weekend) and he seemed pleasently surprised by the game overall. Quickly identified our weaknesses but gave up listing Lincoln's after he got to ten of them... He picked out (not in any order) Mildy, Parkes and Dawson as players who could easily play a level (or two) higher and noted pretty much every player looked better than anything he saw in the 4-5 games he watched last season. I texted him about Blisset and he noted a few good runs (ironically in the second half when we both thought the team as a whole were playing worse). All in all he was impressed, wondered why we're not top by 10 points (which I and a few around us soon explained) and his one 'doubt' was that we should have closed it out and won 5-0, not 2-0 and hit the post three times.

We are not top because of the amount of chances missed so far this season. It aint rocket science.
