sh**e,Europe better start building it's defensive capability. Great news for the economy and our manufacturers. The decline in British capabilities has been unacceptable to the point where we are almost pathetic as a force. Has he won yet? How is it great news if he is true to his word and slaps on 20% tariffs and starts a trade war, have a look at history, trade tariffs Never work !!

Anyone think David Lammy will now be given the sack. How on earth can the foreign secretary of The UK, one of if not the closest ally of the US, represent the UK in America having referred to their President as a neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath, a dangerous clown and a racist KKK and Nazi sympathizer.

Vance still became VP elect. Our usefulness to Washington has long diminished. We still have our intelligence services but overall we aren't the ally we once were.

I think 79 is referring to us becoming more self reliant and restarting manufacturing. Pearsons, Sheffield Forgemasters and the facilities in Barrow are all looking to expand. The army needs German help to sort out its equipment and Swedish steel for ships. I'm expecting a lot more spent this side of the pond but only by comparison, probably see a slowing of aircraft from the US. The next generation of aircraft will be BAE led with Italy and Japan rather than the US. Aukus could be vulnerable, though. It's only 4 years. 🤞

The UK is in pretty good shape compared to many other US trading partners so our new govt have room to navigate that. It would also force us to look inwards which I'm certain most would agree, can only be a good thing. We have become.e dangerously reliant on goods from overseas.

Honestly all the bull that we have to go through for years when he loses and tries getting re-elected is worse than if he just won That's not anybody fault but world media selling clicks. The bloke is a hot topic and generates footfall. The media companies know that people like you lot can't get enough of Trump, so they'll keep feeding him to you. Hes no more controversial than Kim Jong Un, the Brazilian chap or Putin, but he's a celebrity for UK newspapers who just love selling his one liners to people who crave it. What are you going on about?

So a short summary, the political wing of the new Government organised hundreds of activists to campaign for the opponent of the new President, our current Foreign Secretary called him a neo-Nazi sympathizing sociopath, a dangerous clown and a racist KKK and Nazi sympathizer, said “...good riddance Donald. The world is relieved to see the back of you”.
Almost forgot, the current Energy Secretary (Millibad, E) called him a “racist” and “misogynist”, the current Home Secretary and the wife of the current PM joined a women’s march to “take a stand against Donald Trump”, the current PM said "...an endorsement from Donald Trump tells you everything you need to know about what is wrong with Boris Johnson’s politics and why he isn’t fit to be Prime Minister..." and Trump was "...not the man “to lead the world” during Coronavirus"
I wouldn't be expecting a State Dinner invite anytime soon....

Your first part isn't much different to what's happened in the past. The name calling goes on all the time, which even his running mate has done.
