Stewie said they had had people 'look at' Dartford.
I guess the dossier went something like this....
Hayes is very dangerous from set pieces and has twice recently scored direct from corners
I would suggest (a) not giving away corners if possible, (B) not giving away free kicks if possible, and (c) Not Dam around with our goalkeeper, who has done nothing wrong.
I'm a BIG fan of DC but I am furious that we (presumably) did our homework and then ignored it.
People may not like what I am about to write but a truly successful team would have cropped Hayes off the pitch. I'm not condoning that or even suggesting we should have done it but a ruthless team would have done that.
1 up at FGR. drew 1-1
2 up at Chester. Drew 2-2.
2-1 up at Shots. Drew 2-2.
1 up and 2-1 up at Dartford. Drew 2-2.
It's a problem.

FT: 2-2. Absolute Disgrace. FFS. Automatic promotion has ended today. Get a grip. We have no God given right to win football matches. Yes we'll likely have to go up via the playoffs but at least we've got a chance. I would've taken this position if you'd offered it to me 6 months ago. Before everyone starts going off on one, go and take 5 minutes to chill out. We are second in the league ffs!

Momentum well and truly lost now. We've given all the sides around us a boost and shown the sh** teams in the division that we leak goals when in front.

Well said Gashead 22.
And another game unbeaten. I fancy us to beat anyone over two legs in the play offs. I think we'll win promotion on penalties.

Don't see your point. That's football. You will always pick up points from behind and lose them from being in front over a 46 game season!

I feel down.
But top five is the first aim and we are on target.

Another two points lost, sick and fed up hearing about our superior fitness will tell as they are only part timers etc etc. That is clearly not the case when you look at our record against the part timers in this league. The fact is they were second from bottom. irrespective of the pitch we should be walking these games with ease. We are clearly not good enough to gain automatic promotion and must ensure we maintain our place in the play offs and win at Wembley. For that reason a creative midfielder is still required, I for one will be very disappointed if somebody is not in the door by deadline day. The injured Clarke and Lockyer are clearly not good enough in midfield and even if Sinclair returns shortly any injury to the likes of Mansell and Monkhouse and we will be struggling.

Yep he's been our most consistent player this season and if we can get him back to fitness quickly then that's our best chance of automatic promotion.

not good enough!
Twice taking the lead and surrendering it immediately is as basic as it gets.

What was the point in signing Dawson ? Didn't he cross for the second goal? Thought they said that on radio.

On a dreadful pitch against a poor team should have been a game for some hoof-ball. Yet instead Mildenhall is rolling the ball out to our defenders and we're trying to play it through the mud. I've been keen to see Mildy hoofing it less but today was not the time for a change in tactic.
