Massive respect to both of you , don’t know how you’ve done it all those yrs if I’m honest. You do it because they are your children and you love them, the biggest thing that keeps us awake at night and I'm almost certain it's the same for Stuart is what happens when we're no longer around. Certainly is, although in Matthew's case, he's already beaten expectations by making adulthood. One major concern I have is attending adult A&E. The Children's hospital are well versed in looking after children with such complex needs, I'm told adults less so.

Bless you Stuart,Josh was at Alderhey,is transition to The Walton has been fine,if he has a problem we go there not Wrexham A&E . I hope that it's ok for you.

Stuart and Trevorgas...total and utter respect to you having read your posts. Somethings in life are far more important than left/right politically, brexit/remoaner 😃 which is evidenced by you both.
Anyway enjoying a beer at Istanbul Airport waiting for a connecting flight to Bangkok and then another to Phnom Penh. Spending 4 weeks in Cambodia 🇰🇭.

Labour win Kingswood. Interesting that Reform may have split the vote.
KINGSWOOD BY-ELECTION FULL RESULTS Damien Egan - Labour Party - 11,176 Sam Bromiley - Conservative Party - 8,675 Rupert Lowe - Reform UK - 2,578 Lorraine Francis - Green Party - 1,450 Andrew Brown - Lib Dems - 861 David Wood - UKIP - 129
37% turnout.
Labour likely to take Wellingborough too.

I think the Tories have a big problem ahead after the by-elections.
In Kingswood the Tories could have held onto the seat if the Reform votes had gone to them and the same level of support for the Reform fruit loops was seen in Wellingborough.
Which means to retain core support the Tories are going to have to lurch to the Right again, which is exactly what they don't want to be seen doing if they are to retain the masses now intending to vote Labour.
Poor lambs.

Poor lambs. The Tories already knew the problem but what can they do? Incidentally, I don't think they will lurch to the right, they know they are going to lose anyway so the coming General Election is actually about damage control for the next one in 2029 - so it's all about keeping as much of the centre-ground as they can against Starmer's Labour. I also think the polls will tighten and they will tighten in the centre...Labour will still win with a 100+ majority but it won't be the whitewash some of the 'experts' are predicting...

Who's fault was it? Speaker Hoyle made a bad decision and took too long to correct it/apologise for it
Not helped by Labour's need for their amendment to stop their own MPs rebelling, and it has huge echos of Bercow making political decisions from what is supposed to be a neutral Speakers role.
Petty politics over symbolism, which is a shame. However if there is any truth to the rumours that Starmer/Labour whips did threaten/pressure the Speaker directly to make the original decision, the fallout could be far and wide...

So what is all the fuss on this one? I tried reading it last night but couldn't actually work out who had done what.
The whole thing is pointless anyway. No matter what the UK Gov does, do they think Israel will give a damn? It's more politics and trying to look better than the other party.

No matter what the UK Gov does, do they think Israel will give a damn? It's more politics and trying to look better than the other party. SNP had the right under procedures to table an opposition motion. Labour didn't like the wording and tabled theirs. Under the rules and convention Speaker should have not allowed Labour's motion. But he did. SNP withdrew theirs in a hissy fit and walked out. Tories sat on their hands and / or walked out. Labour motion passes. To the net result of zero. An utter disgrace. Of course the Tories, desperate for scraps of anything accused the Speaker of bending to the demands of Labour. As if any of this actually matters. A plague on all their houses.
