The conversation was about ‘ illegals’ and his name was bought up. I didn’t make the connection. No it was a completely different point as the news was breaking, you have put them together No it was you that stated he was an Islamist , thus linking his crimes with ‘illegal’ immigration. Do I want to spend my time arguing with a Tommy Robinson fan boy ? Nope . You crack on Sean believing simple answers to complex problems is all down to a few thousand desperate people coming here on a dinghi . Over and out.

Scrolling back through there are a couple of distinct topics being discussed. Combining them does make a new point but that point is yours not Sean's...

Most fair minded individuals in the world are stating he was an Islamist but I suspect again you will stick you head in the sand and deny this. Also I am only a fan boy to Freddie, Roger, Brian and John - guilty as charged!

Just like Tommy’s storm troopers trying to burn down hotels with kids in them were heinous. I guess you know all about Freddie Mercury’s family fleeing religious persecution? I guess he wouldn’t be welcome here if he came by boat ?

Have the markets gone into meltdown yet? 😮 They seem sanguine at the moment. The NI increase was pretty high, otherwise no real surprises, which is probably why these things get leaked ahead, stops the jitters in the market.

The economic competence of the Chancellor is incredibly important. We are coming up to the most important Budget for years and there are huge warning signs that the mainstream media is also studiously ignoring... The expected increase in capital gains tax and cuts to business asset disposal relief have led to twice the number of businesses voluntarily liquidating this October than did in October 2023 - 1600 and counting with a week to go, way more than any single month in the last thirteen... Borrowing is now £6.7 billion more than the OBR forecast so far this financial year and the OBR point out that's due to Labour's spending since the election. In what *sounds* like positive news, Capital Gains Tax receipts are up 16% in the third quarter - but that's people taking profits before the proposed increase. Even HMRC predicts a 10% CGT hike would lower tax revenues by £2 billion but it's widely expected to happen. The most interesting one is 10-year gilt yields have hit their highest level since Labour came to power and 0.03% higher than after the Truss budget. No media hysteria over it this time, I guess because it's not a Conservative government... All whilst Reeves has confirmed she’s rewriting how she calculates UK debt to allow her to borrow more money - something she specifically ruled out last year. If you think any of these are also "...non-stories..." we can review them in 12 months time... Looking forward to reviewing this in 12 months time , along with 18 months time ( now 17 months )when Starmer will no longer be the labour leader . All stacking up …. 😂👍 Ten yr gilt yield down today . 😘

It’s almost like Super doesn’t know what he’s talking about 😂

Emm not impressed, your key objective is to generate economic growth so you tax the very people who can deliver that, muddled thinking and incompetence.

It does seem employer NI is carrying a lot of the revenue raising. Usually it's called a tax on jobs by whoever is in Opposition. Add to that the threshold changes and minimum wage increases, employers will be disappointed.

Chancellor's failure to make key change to child benefit is 'shame', says Martin Lewis Deep in the government's official autumn budget document lies confirmation that it won't proceed with a move to reform child benefit based on household incomes.
Currently, the £60,000 income threshold for when the benefit starts to be taken away is based on individual income rather than that of the whole household.
It means two parents earning £60,000 each can get the full amount, but a single parent who earns just above £60,000 will have the benefit reduced.
The previous government announced plans to administer the high income child benefit charge on a household rather than individual basis by April 2026 - but Labour has scrapped this, saying it "would come at a significant fiscal cost of £1.4bn by 2029-30".
Consumer champion Martin Lewis, who had been campaigning for the change, said the news is "a shame and leaves inequity rife, bad news for single parent and single earner families".

There cannot be a situation where everyone is a winner.
