Belshaw 7.5 regulatory steady performance.

Thomas 5 poor.
Connolly 4.5 poorer.
Gibson 6 best of defence.

Anderson 6.5 worked hard, a shame no return.
Coutts 5.5 struggling to hit last season form.
Finley 6 missing his mate.
Evans 6 a couple of defence blocks but his attacking ideas weren't coming off
Sinclair 7.5 nice runs and made them think.


Collins 8.5 m o m unplayable.
Coburn 8 excellent and looked knackered at end.

Subs: Hoole 8 nice shoring up defence with some great blocks and tracking back.
Gibbons 7.5 played himself in there I liked his cameo.
Loft 6 ran around a bit.
McCormick 5.5 got caught a couple of times in possession. We want our Luke back!
Whelan 6.5 done ok and nice to see he can still defend an open play position.

Ref 7 decent.
Cheltenham 5.5 they should build on confidence as it went right out of their game in first half, but regained it second. We've really done a number on them this season. A sercombe hit post goes in and one of their 20 opportunities, who knows it could have been another upset for us?

It wasn't to be.
And we start 2023 with a much needed league win v on paper easiest match of the month.

Thomas 6 an ok game and his effort cant be faulted.
Connolly 4  a nightmare, mercifully it didnt cost us.

Anderson 6.5  a decent first half , he's still getting his fitness back
Coutts 7 gradually improving
Finley 7  another player still getting back to full fitness  but i'm always more confident with him in the team.
Evans 7  battled well when we were under the cosh.
Sinclair 8 he oozed quality, even when he does the simple things hes a joy to watch.

Collins 9 m.o.m  the goals keep coming as do the assists, he's so important to the team
Coburn 7.5 a good first half and another goal, him and Collins are fast becoming a deadly duo, he seemed knackered in the second
                 half and was rightfully subbed.

Subs: Hoole 7 a good cameo and helped steady the ship.
Gibbons 7 he showed glimpses of why we signed him.
Loft 6 chased everything down.
McCormick 6 he is gradually improving.

Cheltenham 6.5 they were being battered until Beefys untimely Christmas present, very route one which, with the dangerous May caused us lots of problems

Connolly. 5.5. All three looked a bit ropey or tired or both. A fair bit of panic at times. Hopefully a win might gee them up a bit.

Finley. 6, for his first half display but seemed to vanish in the second.
Coutts. 6. Much the same as Finley
Sinclair. 7. Some classy touches.
Anderson. 6 Good first half
Evans. 6.5. A few glimpses of his form last season.

Collins. 7.5. A class act. I just hope we can keep hold of him.
Coburn. 7. Good first half. Didn’t notice him in the debacle of the first 20 mins of the second.

Hoole. 7. Seemed to calm things down a lot
Gibbons. 7. Same as Hoole.
McCormick. 5.5. Seemed to give it away a lot.
Loft. 6.5. As someone else said, ran around a lot and tried to get stuck in.
Whelan. 6.5. Again, brought a bit of calm to proceedings.

Overall, a good first half but a stupid giveaway led to way too much panic. Let’s hope the win and a few days off gives JB and the team the chance to mull it over.
