A large team from the SAG attended yesterday’s match. Hopefully all went smoothly and our capacity will be increased again. Not sure if the figure of 9,870 is still accurate or if we will be able to get above 10,000. It was strange that ticket availability in the South Stand, East Stand and East Terrace changed several times between Friday and Saturday morning. I presume the seats in the East Stand were unsold hospitality packages, the empty seats were right at the top of the stand. In addition Oxford did not sell their allocation and we’re about 300 under. Makes you wonder if we will ever get a truly sold out fixture again!

Large group mind, I bet every single one of them absolutely revelled in their warped delusions of grandeur for every single minute of yesterday.

Bizarre situation in that we have sold out of seating yet we have empty seats in the south stand every game. Should have sold season tickets in there, very short sighted.

I'm confused. What were the Screen Actors Guild doing at the Mem? I know the snake tried a bit of acting in that incident with Connolly in the first half but come on...

Or they could have been decent people turning up to do their job as best they could to earn an honest living. But that rarely fits the narrative of “poor me” Britain

Empty spaces in every stand despite it being sold out. SAG taking the absolute p*ss.

I think the weather and train strikes contributed to some empty seats.
Or maybe the empty seats served as an air conditioning system?! 😉
I guess as long as those places were paid for, the club wouldn't give a fig whether they were occupied or not?

How long will we let them continue to cost us revenue? It’s not normal for a football club to be dictated like this by an outside party.

Whilst sag are being portrayed as the pantomime villains, has it crossed anyone's mind the club might have actually got things wrong? Breached rules? Rules there for everyone? Maybe some personnel on certain positions within the club have failed?
I'm not itk, just saying...

If it’s the standing at the front of terraces (which it appears to be), then that’s a ‘rule we broke’ repeatedly and unopposed from 1996 to 2021!

Just as well they were there.
Couldn't have been more than 8,000 there.

I still don't fully understand that, how can it be a rule they suddenly decide to enforce? If there was a change in the rules that's fine, if it was a rule that was not enforced for 20+ years i) why was it not raised before and ii) with 20 years of practical experience of the rule not causing any problems why is no one looking at changing the rule/layout of the stand....?

But they’re just decent folk making an honest living….apparently (Rocking up out of nowhere, costing the club a small fortune week on week) Sooner they sling their ‘ook the better

Um....Queen fiasco anyone?
Get the marketing and ticketing done, yet ignore or forget SAG advice before it goes to press!
The club has a duty of care. That should come before any money making schemes, and should fit in with today's safety parameters something it clearly had failed to implement.
Embarrassing.

What safety incidents or risks were there before? Genuinely curious as I can’t recall anything occurring that would require swiping a hefty 2k off the gate.
