Go on then, as I’m up and we need a new match thread starter after tuesday night. Tough match, they’ve established themselves in the top half of this division in recent years and we all know the dangers that Bodin and Taylor possess when they are on their game.
Still, the stirring 4-3 win in the FA Cup against them last year really ignited our season and proved to be the turning point in JB’s rovers career. We come into this off the back of an impressive 4-0 away victory in the league (We won’t mention Tuesday). In front of a packed, raucous mem I really fancy our chances. Looking forward to seeing the new recruits Gordon and Gibson in the flesh for the first time. COYB.

Nice work axegas - brave man taking on the matchday mantle! I'm going for a 3-2 Rovers win. Won't be there today as I've got a poorly dog to look after - will be viewing via i-follow.

Really tough game, we can shade it if we’re firing but would take a draw now.

Going to be a tough game today. 42 goals in total between Taylor, Brannagan and Bodin last season, so the lads at the back will have to be on their game.
Going to be a hot one for the players, so we need help them out and make as much noise as we can for 90 minutes for our lads.
Looking forward to it!
UTG!

Gotta drive back to Bristol due to train strikes, it’s gonna be scorchio and a real tough game. As we have a few not quite 100% match fit I think they’ll edge the game but our determination sill be enough to claim a 1-1 draw. UTG

Can’t see us being ready to compete fully at L1 level yet, we’re too light.
It’ll be a loss, hope I’m wrong!

As I was driving through Boscombe in Bournemouth yesterday afternoon, an unusual sight of a gentleman adorned in the famous quarters greeted me. I quickly un-wound my window and shouted ‘Up The Rovers’ and caught him cheering through the rear view mirror.
It’s a sign I tell you.
Joeys new brand of never seen before football to blow Poxford away.
5-1 Gas, Collins will be too good for their crumbling defence, Flash Gordon will whip in delicious crosses for Marquis to open his account and even Coutts will be on the score sheet.

Think we’ll do ok but my only fear is that players will tire in the heat and the 5 subs will be needed. With our bench not the strongest at the moment I think we could find the last 20 minutes a challenge (so 4-0 up at half time again would do nicely!).

energy sapping day so I don't think It'll be as end to end as last year. expect both teams to try and keep the ball but Oxford will probably do that better. Belly with some quality saves to frustrate them and an Evans free kick to go in for us.
1-1

My predicted team (I always get these wrong) Belly Hoole Kilgour Connolly Gordon Finley coutts Anderson Evans Collins Marquis Subs Jaakola Gibson Grant Rossiter Lawerence Loft Saunders I'd imagine the biggest question mark is who starts CB. I think he will throw Gibson in and Kilgour on the bench. Coutts and Finley in midfield is a massive upgrade on 2 weeks ago when we had Westbrooke and Rossiter. Love both although Coutts didn't start the season well last year and that was without being a few games behind due to suspension! Heard a stat on Having a gas that the longest Marquis has gone without scoring is 15 games. Today is his 15th game...

Will be a tough game, would absolutely take a point. Heard a whisper another starter is out injured today but will find out for sure at 2pm.

2pm??
Don’t think Gibson will be fit to start. Hope there isn’t another injury to a key player. Could be a long 90 minutes!
