We now have been issued an amber warning for heat, in place from Thursday to Sunday, with temperatures peaking at 36°C on Saturday - BBC weather.
Could this put the game in doubt? Obviously the players will be fine but could be risky for spectators.

One advantage of our early kick off Saturday is the temperature will be slightly lower, checking the BBC weather app & the temperature peaks around 4-5pm.

Some snakes like the heat, some can't handle it. Let’s hope the little snake we see on Saturday tries to hide in his little snake hole and cries off to mummy snake when the going gets tough….

Has a game ever been called off in the UK for heat?? Don’t think so but met office heat warnings are a new thing, which trigger government action. Plus such heat is becoming more extreme and more frequent.

But would we be allowed to bring in our own plastic bottles of water and sun screen if the receptacles could be used as weapons to keep a snake off the grass?

Worst possible game for the club to introduce an exception.

Would be helpful if the club laid on free water points with paper cups if bottles not allowed just to keep those stood in the east stand at least hydrated.
