O well, shame he is not coming back to the MEM; although, I am sure Joey will be contacting other talented players who fit the bill.

TBF You can't blame Wimbledon for wanting top money for a player how many times have the gas had their pants pulled down with players being sold to cheaply. I can think of at 5 players we should got more than we did, Jamie Cureton being a prime example

He may be disruptive if the Dons dont agree a fee before deadline. Then what ? Pay for a player on a decent wage whilst not having him in your squad. Or send out on a last minute loan. So the wombles/agent have the upper hand fee wise at the moment . That will change in 2 weeks time.

Minds will now concentrate on solving the problem. UTG!

Scottish side or someone like Pompey. Fair play to Joey saying we won’t be the mugs.

It's no different to the situation surrounding the 3 players we still have on the books We still have to offload them at some point hopefully we will see some movement either contracts cancelled, loaned out or sold on.

Boot on the other foot. Do we want a player prepared to be doing this at our club? If he can do it there he can do it at his next club.
We want honest pros who respect their club and contract.
No thanks, move on

When did Joey say that? If McCormack signs and we are then promoted will we really be mugs just because we had to pay a decent transfer fee?

He didn’t name Luke but said we wouldn’t be paying over the odds or “having our pants pulled down” there are other options available. I agree there is a fee worth paying. Not sure anything over £200k is worth it.

Not sure anything over £200k is worth it. Yes he didn’t name who got greedy club, player, agent etc. Just laid it out that fair value was what he was looking for and it turned out that some negotiations we had entered into weren’t heading for that fair value. Most have assumed it’s LM and that is probably the most likely scenario but….Could just as easily have been Barnsley wanting to charge us more for a player we had contributed a lot of time to get back to being seen as a useful asset than a problem child. Similarly someone mentioned Wael following Scott Sinclair it may be bunkum but supposing he was sounded out and was not averse to dropping down a division then when it’s explored further silly money is mentioned by agent or player and it’s hasta la vista. Still think he’ll stay in the northwest drop down a division, get paid sensible money and team up with ex Celtic teammate Scott Brown at Fleetwood. At least JB is making the right noises that we’ll pay the right fee and the right wages when we see the right man for the job is available to us.

If he does come it’ll be for at least half that and hopefully within our wage structure.

Don t want him now Luke chase the dollar kid, you missed a trick here. You would become a better player schooled by Whelo and coutts.

Move on. Not worth paying a fee for at best will be a squad player. Jumped ship from us when he could have stayed and now has done the same with his present club. Doesn't seem to have it in him to battle for a cause.

Doesn't seem to have it in him to battle for a cause. i am not sure that is the case but JB gas definitely played the " make it happen or i am off card" . you sense it has become a personal thing between the 2 managers and whilst Wael was prepared to pay - JB is determined not to allow that to happen. Some managers are known to overpay for players and JB is determined not to get such a reputation.
