Yes, out for at least a couple of weeks according to Joey’s post match interview, and possibly longer depending on the results of a scan. Not good news. Ah ok, that's annoying. He looked like he was limping a bit towards the end of the Burton game. Maybe JB could have taken him off? We didn't use all five subs. But we used 3 slots. The last slot was in 89 min when two were made. This is the balance in making subs without using all the slots.

Was convinced FGR had more than 3 instances making subs. They made 3…82, 86 & 90+5 minutes. The rule is you can stop the game 3 times to make substitutions and in addition you can make substitutions at half time that will not count as one of your 3 slots.

I understand that Alfie is just needing match fitness. I could see him and Connolly doing very well but we need another CB possibly 2. We need another LE/lwb and another RW/RWB as competition as well as cover although Ryan Jones might get an opportunity in one of the spots. We need someone as cover/competition for Evans. The more I see of loft the more I think we need to move him on, so we need another striker there. Minimum 6 players required. Will Alfie ever be match fit? Seems like he’s constantly got niggles with his knee and swelling after games which isn’t that uncommon following a history of major knee injury. Is he following in the footsteps of Ledley King in constantly having to manage a dodgy knee which restricts his ability to train and stay at a level of sharpness all the other players attain? Kilgour has consistently been poor since Craig departed, I can't see it's only fitness holding him back.

It's interesting that now we have gone back to five subs, there are still seven players allowed on the bench in the football league. The Premier League now allows clubs to name nine players on the bench. (I'm not sure how many they allowed last season?)

Perhaps it's so smaller clubs dont have to invest in buying and installing bigger subs/coachs benches and shelters (?).

To be fair you've been saying that for about 3 weeks! Even if signed I expect Joey to want it kept secret until Saturday morning.

His agent is doing a wonderful job Maybe he’s waiting until he has every club sniffing both here and in Scotland before he informs Luke which club is best Luke obviously knows he wants to don the famous quarters, but whatever will be There are plenty of good young midfielders, and Joey has a pretty good eye for unearthing them so I won’t panic Must be hard being a footballer when you are being shoved around and your agent is flogging you like some piece of meat. Personally I hope he ends up happy somewhere as he always gave his all in our shirt UTG

I thought we ended our interest because Wombles wanted silly money?
No good chucking 300k or whatever at them for someone who will only be a squad player. My take, I’d only have him on a free, the lad won’t get in our starting midfield and also not sure he could even add a great deal next to what we already have. Saw him play on 3 occasions for Wimbledon since he left us & he was anonymous each and every time.
But we will see…

Sometimes players have to accept thier responsibilities as part of a clubs success AND failure. Luke has now performed for two teams -us and Wimbledon and both were relegated from League 1. Perhaps he should knuckle down with Wimbledon and prove his worth in helping to reverse what he was involved in. The fact it seems only us and Hibernian are interested and not some of the bigger teams in League 1 perhaps means he is not as good as he thinks he is. I was never a huge fan of Lee Brown but admired him for sticking with us when we were relegated to non league. I personally think Mccormick would be a good signing and one where we could end up with huge potetntial to make money but no player is bigger than the club so if he doesnt end up here it is his loss.Who really wants to play in the Toy League which is scottish football?

The point I was trying to make though is that it is out of players hands where they end up Agents play a massive role and money talks Ultimately he will be sold to the club that offer the biggest incentive Bit harsh being critical of Luke in my opinion, lad gave everything in a very poor side UTG
