Playing well and in the same position as he did for us. Attacking left mid cutting in and looking to make things happen constantly.

He doesn't look out of place. Come on Newcastle, one more loan!

He doesn't look out of place. Come on Newcastle, one more loan! He needs to be tested at a higher level. Not sure what a decent performance v Tranny will prove to anyone. He's basically completed L2

Newcastle losing 1-0 to a goal from the former Warrington Rylands, Everton Xaverians, Waterloo Dock, Bootle and Burscough striker Elliott Nevitt.

He's basically completed L2 If he’s loaned out then for his progression it should be to a championship club in my opinion. But if Newcastle decided to loan to a league 1 club then could be the difference between us finishing 12-20th to top half /top 6.

He’s playing as one of two number 8’s whereas he was wide left for us.
I’m biased but he’s the best player on the pitch at the moment.

I think he’s playing as the left attacking midfielder out of three. He’s moving inside to allow the left back to push and overlap. Like he did for us. He didn’t hug the touch line. Perhaps out if possession, but when we had it he was always looking to cut inside.

Sign him, great goal I said on here after he won the final of the FA Vase and also the country's premier Sunday league cup competition, the FA Sunday Cup, and before he signed for Tranmere, whether Joey was aware of him as he was very local to him. I watched the Vase and he looked a right handful with his strength and directness.

Not sure I'd be interested now tbh. I think there will be better options, but fair play to him for stepping up to EFL level from humble early playing beginnings. Love to see it.

The Geordies all singing hes one of our own very loud as Elliot’s subbed with 5 minutes left. The fans clearly know him and like him. A fairly decent debut. He had a very good first 30 minutes or so playing further wide on the left but to a more central role after Tranmere scored first. To be fair it worked because Newcastle scored two but I don’t think centre mid is his best position. He’s best cutting inside where he’s got a bit of space in front of him to run in to or pass in to and then run for the return. As we all know. Played in his best position for 90 minutes he can rip a league 2 side to pieces but I feel he wasn’t given that opportunity tonight. Could be our gain though who knows.

I watched most of the game and he was pretty good, just kept things simple. I did notice how deep he was coming to get the ball, and didnt seem to want to take players on like he did for us. Still think he is best out wide left getting chalk on his boots though.
