Belshaw 8 Really earnt his wages at the end
Hoole 7 Taylor 7 Connolly 7 Anderton 7
Whelan 7 Evans 7 (extra mark for the goal)
Nicholson 6.5 Plenty of involvement and good work rate but found a pink shirt too often E. Anderson 7 brilliant first half, faded second half, seems to be a regular thing with him H. Anderson 8 Dangerous for the full 90 minutes
L. Clarke 6 Should have put at least one chance to bed
Subs: Collins 7 Loft 6 Saunders 7 The duracell bunny is a great option from the bench
Ref 7 Barrow 7 Not a great side but credit due for their ability to shut up shop

Belshaw 9 well and truly saved us the 3 points
Hoole 6 needs to work on his overlapping runs Taylor 7 Connolly 7 Anderton 7
Whelan 7.5 controlled the game
Nicholson 5 at some point we’ve got to see some end product Evans 7 given an extra mark for the goal E. Anderson 7 great first half, faded second H. Anderson 7.5 our best outfield player and becoming a real favourite of mine
L. Clarke 6 probably should’ve buried a chance
Subs: Collins 7 introduced a bit of penetration Loft 3 just doesn’t contribute anything positive Saunders 6 energy
Ref 8 got it right Barrow 5 hard to tell really

Belshaw 8 again a competent display, especially brilliant shot stop at end.
Hoole 7 a defensively quiet eve but must improve crossing to be an effective rwb. Taylor 7 not much to do. Connolly 7.5 quiet night apart from the end. Anderton 7.5 I liked his contributions with support for HA.
Whelan 8 threw himself into the role of captain admirably.
Nicholson 6 tried, but not his night. Evans 7 amazing strike, match winner, and some nice through ball passing but probably only 50% success rate. E. Anderson 8.5 m o m controlled mid with some breath taking cutting through ball passes. H. Anderson 8 industrious and unlucky not to score from an inspiration in opposition goal.
L. Clarke 6 worked hard but coulda shoulda had 2 goals.
Subs: Collins 7 again a robust engine. Loft 6 worked hard but yet to see his worth. Saunders nole.
Ref 8 I thought got most decisions spot on and probably could have hurried the time wasting that funnily enough boot was on other foot from 82 mins onwards. Barrow 6 decent defensive organisation and fella up front (Adams?) might have made our night more difficult. Awful time wasting tactics, but this is 4th division and we knew what to expect.
Another confident, possession based performance where goal scoring opportunity presents itself every few mins if we're patient. We're not used to seeing this multiple game consistency of domination of huge parts of the game playing (sometimes) free flowing football. JAB says the goal strike was worth the admittance fee alone - I beg to differ - the sumptuous through ball passing, the movement off the ball, the defensive tracking, the passing to our own players in and around opposition pen area, the fabulous shot stopping sweeper keeper are just as valuable.
It's a good time to watch for entertainment and results atm, long may it continue, keep everyone match for and disciplined, and who knows what could happen comewhat May? What could possibly go wrong....?

Belshaw 9, Seems high for a largely redundant g/k, but superb distribution and points saving stops near the end Hoole 6, ok but frequent misunderstandings with others down his flank Taylor7 Connolly7 Anderton6 Whelan7 given the space and time to orchestrate things in the middle and did so with minimum of fuss ,rarely wasted ball but always took easy option as opposed to Billy. Nicholson 6 see Hoole, wasted some promising openings Evans 7.5 , not his best and would have been lower, then comes another absolute belter! E. Anderson 7.5 superb creative first half, probing and looking for that killer pass. H. Anderson8 good combination down his flank always threatening L. Clarke 5, did not seem any more mobile than Pitman who would have scored tonight! perhaps more game time will improve his sharpness? Subs: Collins 6 Loft 5 not much chance to shine Saunders 6 lively cameo Ref 7 Barrow7 not great to watch but marked up for superb defensive effort and only undone by another belter from Evans, could so easily have nicked a point!

Belshaw 8.5 M.o.M the protection of three valuable point was very much down to him Hoole 7 a decent all-round performance,he-s still learning the offensive side of his game but is making steady progress Taylor 7 steady, not much bothered him Connolly as Taylor, the're a very good defensive pair. Anderton 7.5 a strong game,as always. Whelan 7.5 classy, passed the ball well and took on the captain role well. Nicholson 7 worked hard, skillfull and good to watch but final ball let him down. Evans 8 a good game capped with a trademark spectacular goal E. Anderson 8 sparkled in the first half, faded late on. H. Anderson 8 another good performance on the left side adapted seamlessly to the change in formation. L. Clarke 6 put himself about ok but missed two very easy chances that a striker or his calibre should take. Subs: Collins 7 brought pace and intelligent running to the game. Loft 5 even Fergie signed the odd dud, on What i've seen he looks a perennial bench warmer. Saunders 6 a useful high energy cameo running at a tiring defence is always a good option to have. Ref. 7 good. Barrow 6 they came for a point, defended resolutely and employed blatant time wasting tactics but they do have a couple of decent players. Despite their perilous position I think they have enough to survive,Scunny and Stevenage are certainly worse.

Belshaw - 8 - Just for his saves towards the end after a very quiet game.
Hoole - 7 - Got forward well but needs to trust his crossing instead of passing back. Taylor - 7 - Did what he had to. Connolly - 7 - Same as Taylor. Anderton - 7 - Linked well with Anderson on the left side. Never does the fancy, knows what he can do and keeps it simple.
Whelan - 8 - Dictated play all night.
Nicholson - 8 - Some fantastic driving runs at their full backs. Just unlucky sometimes with the end product. Evans - 7 - If I am honest, it was one of the worst performances for us (but he has set the bar very high) but wow, what a goal. E. Anderson - 6 - At his best when he can drive into space but with the Barrow tactics, he struggled to do this. H. Anderson - 7 - Some very good driving runs in the first half and seemed to have the beating of their RB but faded.
L. Clarke - 5 - Can't really remember him doing much if I am honest and missed a fantastic chance in the second half.
Subs: Collins - 7 - Changed the game with his pace and movement up front. Loft - 5 - Was a more mobile Clarke who harried and put the defenders under a different type of pressure but didn't do much. Saunders - 5 - Appreciate he wasn't on long but can't remember him doing anything?
Ref - 7 - Think he got the big decisions right but let Barrow waste time throughout the whole of the second half when at 0-0. Barrow - 6 - Hard to tell. Looked okay prior to going down to 10 and then clearly had a game plan after going down to 10 that nearly worked.

Belshaw 8 - without his saves we would have dropped at least a point
Hoole 6 - had lots of opportunities going forward but could of made better use of them Taylor 6 - average, defence looked fragile at the end Connolly 6 - average, defence looked fragile at the end Anderton 6 - reasonable first half display
Whelan 6.5 - against ten men and the Barrow system he was always going to be in the position to dictate play. Felt that he could of been more effective.
Nicholson 5.5 - wasted countless opportunities when in good positions. A fresher Sammy would of been more effective. He has run himself into the ground recently and needs a break of a couple of games. Evans 6.5 - not at his best but a great goal and some other very good moments E. Anderson 6.5 - did well in the first half H. Anderson 7 - good all action display from Harry
L. Clarke 5 - missed a couple of good chances and not very mobile
Subs: Collins 6 - gave the side a bit more pace when he came on Loft 5 - not showing his ability yet and at the moment does not enhance our style of play Saunders 5.5 - brought effort and pace but did not do much of note
Ref 7 - seemed a decent ref Barrow 6 - did better than I expected for a team so low in the table. Were unlucky at the end not to snatch a point

Belshaw. 9. Our best keeper since Nigel Martyn? Possibly. Let’s see what next season brings though.
Hoole 7 Taylor 7 Connolly 7 though as others have said, what happened to him and the defence in those final minutes. Heart stopping. Anderton 7.5. Did well I thought.
Whelan. 8. What a pro. Anderson E. 7. Faded in the second half. Anderson H. 7.5 Evans. 8. Extra half point for the goal. Nicholson. 7.5
Clarke. 7. He was decent and I like him but Collins brings so much more to the party.
Subs. Collins. 8. Loft 7 Saunders 7
Ref 7. Did well. Barrow. 7. Well organised with ten men. Hope they stay up.
