This is a gentle reminder for all posters that we are under scrutiny from ProBoards with regards to posting of information on COVID and public health. ProBoards do not permit the posting of misinformation on these subjects, and this is something the mod team have a responsibility to enforce.
We understand that the term "misinformation" might not be the most objective of definitions, and therefore our stance is that from now on, any posts which contain or reference health information which contradicts mainstream health advice (i.e. WHO, government, NHS, etc) will result in deletion.
If you see a post that you believe breaks this rule, please either inform a moderator or report the post. Permanent or temporary bans of a duration at the moderating team's discretion will be applied for repeated breaking of this rule.
To quote the World Health Organisation (WHO):
"Acting on the wrong information can kill. In the first 3 months of 2020, nearly 6 000 people around the globe were hospitalized because of coronavirus misinformation, recent research suggests. During this period, researchers say at least 800 people may have died due to misinformation related to COVID-19."
