Don't underestimate Jaakkola's return. Massive save from Bogle's header. Sort of thing that would have gone in with the other 2 keepers.

Well that couldn’t have gone much better. Only Rochdale picking up one point, the rest all loosing.
Still favourites to go down, we need to win more and unlike a month or so ago, everyone now has games in hand over us.
Next week is massive, a game we cannot afford to loose but our rivals all have tough games again which could help.

It’s the hope that kills you!
Have been critical of JB the last couple of weeks but would love him to pull the great escape off. Can we finally follow up a good win with a win against a rival? If so, I will believe!
Stay up and sign Macca (with a couple of experienced heads) and being back at the Mem next season could be good times! UTG

I know I said earlier it’s bad luck to be superstitious but maybe that combined with the match thread helped the football gods throw something in our favour or perhaps even the lord Jesus Christ did something , now the superstition is just getting silly. |

What an important win, at a crucial time.
Momentum.
Today we got exactly what we deserved, a win.
Today we won the battle of hearts.....we simply wanted the win more.
Whomever has coached this squad this week needs to take a bow....we were well disciplined in pushing, pressing, harassing in our off the ball non possession game.....it was like the rovers of old. Well done to the management team for this desperate result.
But far from a perfect performance.
Baldwin individual error led to conceding, Upson individual error didn't.
Baldwin clears off the line, Jaaaaaaks tips one round the post.
Amazingly.....the officials disallowed ( what looked to be a perfectly good goal) for them! Some decisions went for us. Is JAB going to complain about this? Is he going to enter a text with his mate over that incident?
McCormick almost perfect performance today. Rightly m o m, but what passion, engine and running from a player that isn't ours?
Hanlan took up the Walker role after sub and was my vice m o m with his efforts.... excellent try from him.
Westbrooke delivery from set pieces were sometimes awful, but his open play was sublime. Excellent performance from a thoughtful midfielder inspiring confidence.
Special mention to Harries. I thought he added a defensive bite, got clearing head on everything, some great passing bisecting their mid....nice play with Baldwin, special mention because of his clearance off the line and almost scored himself!
Another point was to bring back a win, a deserved win and great performance from being a goal down shows great character.
We're still doomed, but this pattern of play shows we can do something to save ourselves. If we are going down, if we continue to hit those heights of energy and tempo, we'll go down fighting...... pardon the pun on JAB.

A great win today and will honestly say I didnt expect much when I seen the line up. McCormick,Baldwin and Hanlon had good games but more importantly having Harries back was a massive bonus for me we looked alot more balanced and looked more solid with CH also getting under the skin of a few Donny players.
With no midweek game it will give the players more time with Barton again and also gives us time to get a couple more players fit,hopefully Rodman and Grant are not far away from returns.
Next week is huge with our currentbaway form so hopefully we can turn it around and come away with something.

I’d pretty much given up hope of staying up but today has made me more hopeful - not just because of the three points but equally as important the mental fortitude to overcome going a goal behind and the battling spirit they all showed. It’s imperative today’s good work isn’t undone by a poor result Saturday. UTG.
