We are attacking Joey here, The Gas is the ultimate goal (If we could find it!!!!) If we were sat in the pub having a pint with Joey in charge of the Gas or Ben G in charge of the Gas how would the conversation go. I Know where my money goes in saving the Gas from League 2 I would put my money on the guy with 1.08 points per game. Statistics prove that the manager that gets more points Per game is the most likely to avoid relegation

I say that because he's proven he can rebuild a side after taking over one that finished 14th and improved it year on year with a playoff finish in his second season.

I think I read somewhere that Fleetwood had just 3 players left from the team Barton Inherited.. I mean contracts ending also have a significant sway but safe to assume if he is with us - he'll be able to rebuild for sure. If in league 1 - 16 players could come off the books in the summer from contract ending and loan expiry Add to that player sales/transfers out, lets be honest we do have a few that are decent, more with potential and potential sells too, just not for as much If in league 2 as above but include players that were savvy enough to add relegation release clauses to the contract they signed. Just hope we were not too cocky when we did our business in the summer just gone... we could be looking at more like 20+ players - talk about a big reset

Some of these players are reported to be on 5 figure a week salaries. Barton hasn’t had to work within a strict budget structure before like we now have in place here. Do we want to go back to bloated salaries, unsustainable wage bills etc?

Also noted that JB was on bank when he played... didn't realise how much he was on. Man City 10k a week (plus any pay rises over the years), Newcastle 70k a week, QPR 80k a week, Rangers 20k a week and Burnley about 20k a week. Probably spunked a bit of it, but equally probably has loads of it alongside his ambition, so maybe we might see some higher calibre of player if he decides to do the same with us.
