This is what I got
17 Bristol Rovers 46 -19 55 18 MK Dons 46 +0 53 19 Plymouth 46 -12 52 20 Wigan 46 -23 40 21 Swindon 46 -24 37 22 Northampton 46 -21 35 23 AFC Wimbledon 46 -24 35 24 Rochdale 46 -21 32
I'd be amazed if this happened, but think the bottom four will be the outcome

A clean sheet is a must at this end of the table, and I think looking back we'd all take a point over none. Still stuck in our not scoring mode, which makes it frustrating when we score 4 - that shows the team has it in them!
But yeah, no goals shipped today; a point that puts us a point up over the 2 teams underneath us with a game in hand, a clean sheet shoring up a leaky defence.
Goes without saying would of rather took home all 3, but reasons to be positive ... For now! Still in squeaky bum mode š

Just seem to think our results against the teams around us will cost us

Ayunga could be a very good prospect, the next Devon White? Hanlon has to stop the falling over annoys me to death! Neither are really at a stage of their career to be in the deep end that they find themselves at this time. Devon White? He was a complete and utter donkey. A donkey who played in the premiership. And was a fantastic player for us

Upon reflection, I expect Swindon to get more than 4 points between now and the end of the season..

When we last beat Sunderland, Charlton or Doncaster, plus Ipswich have already beaten us twice this season, it's hard to see where we're going to get the 16/18 pts from if we don't get 6 from the Northampton and Swindon games.Ā We wonāt need 18 points 16 will be enough, in fact 14 would probably do it as I think 48 will be enough this year. So no problem š. Itās extremely rare that 40 anything points is enough in league 1. Look back through the history. Clubs regularly get relegated on 50 and sometimes even 51.

4 points isn't bad from those 2 games. Until you look at our next couple of fixtures, where a 2 pts return will be a good result, which will be just 6 pts from 4 games. Rovers v Swindon could decide which West Country side gets relegated.Ā The Dons still have to play all the other 4 relegation rivals at home!!Ā Because both Charlton and Plymouth have been flying latelyš. Never know in football. But Plymouth recently lost to Northampton and Wigan and we beat them 3 0 last time. They struggle against the teams at the bottom. Charlton have not been in great form either. We could end up losing both, but we could easily end up taking another 4 points from 6.

I think 48 points could keeps us up this season, I don't care how we find 14 points from the 12 games we have left as long as we do it. Find me a season where 48 points has been enough in league 1. It maybe has been done once or something but generally 50 points gives you a 50/50 chance of staying up thereās often 2 clubs on 50 and it comes down to goal difference. This season may be different perhaps 49 at a stretch but if we only get 48 points weāre 99% going down.

Currently we are averaging a point a game. 5 teams are averaging less than a point a game. If it stays like that, 46 points will be enough. If a team goes down with 50 points this season, a lot of teams will have to pick up a lot.

This is what mine came out as. Weāve got a tough run in facing Ipswich, Doncaster, Sunderland, Charlton, Lincoln ect in but weāll beat Crewe (H), MK Dons (H), Northampton (A) Blackpool (A) and put together enough points by the end of the season.

Northampton need a point more than us to get to 50. Itās probably going to go down to the wire. Iāve just been looking at league 1 tables over the last few years and so far from the ones Iāve looked at everyone finishing in the 40s has gone down.

Iām previous seasons there has not been such a big gap, between the bottom 6/7 and the rest though. You never know and a few teams could go on a run. But some of the teams will have to win over 50% of there games, to get to 50 points. On current form, that does not look likely. Hard to predict though. As anything can happen! Our results alone are confusing enough. We beat in form Shrewsbury and top half Portsmouth and Accrington. We lost to Wigan and drop points against Wimbledon. Just have to take it week by week and hope we pull away. 46 points could be enough, but at the same time, 50 points might not be enoughš

If crowds were allowed in stadiums like usual, that Blackpool away fixture had all the making of a tense but joyous relegation survival fixture, as Joey and the lads celebrate safety in front of thousands of Gasheads in the sun.
Then again it also had the potential to be an overcast miserable nail biter with thousands of fans despondent as Rovers drop into the basement division...

A few Devon Whites is what we need TBH. 3 guys weighing in with 10 each would be ideal. Easier to keep hold of them . Anybody scoring 20 to 25 goals. - Gone rapido, then it takes 5 seasons and a couple of relagations to replace them. At the mo we are 20 goals shy of being mid table.

A donkey who played in the premiership.Ā And was a fantastic player for us Nope.Ā We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.Ā It happens. Take Devon out of that 1989/90 team and thereās no way we would have got promoted. He caused opposition defences no end of problems and when it mattered most, he applied the cool finishes that won us the title. A highly effective target man who knew his game and got the very best out of himself and others in his career. Thereās no way Mehew and Saunders get half the goals they got for the Gas without Devonās contribution and thatās no sleight at all on their abilities. He was absolutely pivotal to the way we played and deserves enormous respect for what he helped us achieve.

Someone quicker. Someone with more skill. Someone who could score more than 10 a season. Like I said, I thought he was pretty useless. Opinions.
