..... for a completely pointless cup . And if we’d started Brandon Hanlon and he got injured he’d be criticised for starting him, as happened with Anssi Jaakkola. There’s a lot of games coming up, I’d rather stay up in the league than mess around in this glorified Premiership under 21 experience. Well why start them all in the last round then. Makes no sense.

We have better and, apart from one or two passes, I thought he was very average at best It is tedious how blinkered people can be. Whatever MK did tonight would not have sufficed. Nearly all crosses came from him and was best of ours tonight We were playing Wimbledon not MK Dons my lover

Not worried by the result more the performance by players on the fringe of the squad. For me this season will not be remembered for what we do in the cups, its purely about surviving in L1 and trying to get the club stabilized after Garners failed project.

Pointless exercise by Tisdale. If you are going to play a game of football you try to win it whatever the trophy. It was Wimbledon first team v our reserves with most of the reserves not much above non league standard. As regards the squad personally wouldnt be worried to see the back of Kelly, Hargreaves, Barrett, Koiki, Harries, Ogogo, Upson to start with. We need to sign a couple of attackers and quick. To be honest if the League isn't going to get completed would prefer it to be curtailed now than leave it till after our next four games as I see very few points in those games and at the moment we would stay up easily on points per game.

As an old left back i thought that Michael Kelly was superb I thought Kelly played well defensively and showed some tidy play but his distribution was also woeful at times. We have better in the team though sadly as Midsomer says - no reflection on him.

I read a post about the Radio Bristol commentary the other day so I was paying closer attention today and I tend to agree a lot with the poster from last week. Brookman is dull and birthday wishes have no place during football commentary. The other bloke (was it Hoskins?) sounds like he doesn't want to be there. He seems to get more excited when the other team nearly score and barely raises his voice when we come close. I was watching on iFollow and that chance from the corner in the last minute was extremely close, it could have brushed the side netting. Granted, there wasn't much power in the header but it's the last minute of the game and we came very close to scoring, didn't get excited at all, the commentator almost sighed it out - not good listening.
You hear the halftime commentary feed from the Sheffield Utd game when they got the penalty and that's more what you'd expect to hear on the radio. Energy and excited that something is happening in the game. Do we really have to have subpar, unprofessional commentary just because we're in a lower league?
... Poor game, players who came in didn't make a good account for themselves. Focus on the league. UTG.

Poor performance but not the worst result considering it’s going to be non-stop matches Tuesday to Saturday until early Feb.

As an old left back i thought that Michael Kelly was superb He did well tonight and I think is better than koki who again was poor Ogogo wasn’t great but Did better than Upson and Grant and I think we should retain him for the rest of the season. Kilgour was solid again in good form. Day played well and got to know his defenders more . Barrett is embarrassing and needs to be taken out of training and put on a long distance running / weight losing training regime for a couple of months. It was a terrible game of football but I think Tisdale learned an awful lot tonight about our fringe players so in that respect it’s been a very productive night for our new manager.

Surprised people thought Ogogo had a bad game he was more or less the only player getting stuck in and showing a bit of determination.
He hasn’t been with the squad and been playing at a lower level so he’s not going to be super sharp tonight.

Steve, I think that looking where we are in the league, albeit with a couple if games in hand, PT needed to see what he has as backup to the first team. League 1 survival has to be priority and I hope he can see who to ship on and what is required to maintain league 1 status

I thought we were going to win this easy with Ogogo back in the side We know he has not had any game time but this was his chance - And he didn't take it I thought he was better than grant tonight and is a better defensive midfielder. Wimbledon hardly had any chances , when it’s Upson and Grant in the defensive positions they don’t protect our defence at all. Wimbledon only had one half chance and they scored with a lucky deflection. Ogogo did ok.

As an old left back i thought that Michael Kelly was superb I thought he did well too, best out of the bunch who came in for the game. Hopefully he can get a loan to L2 and get some game time and push on from there.

Situations change. Many on here, me included, said it was a risk playing Anssi in the last round. Perhaps PT now thinks the same about other key players. He has also had a bit more time since the last round to assess what is what and so he quite rightly imho took this opportunity just before a really tough run of games, to rest a few key players and see what a number of the squad players could (or couldn't) do.

It’s never nice when we lose, but league 1 survival is what’s important and the likes of ehmer, sammy and hanlon all got a well deserved break before a very winnable game against Charlton Saturday.
Plus nothing like a free game for PT to evaluate who isn’t up to the standard.

That was like watching the grass gro 😴 I can't really think of a positive. Thought Kelly was ok and Ogogo wasnt great at all but he did get stuck in and showed bit if grit.. Barratt was dreadful worst player on the pitch followed by Upson when he came on Just shows that our strength is not good. I saw a different game, mostly. Ogogo I thought improved as the game went on, and actually made some smart passes into the strikers. Plus he’s the only player we have in midfield who’s actually quite intimidating. Upson does his customary of being both probably the best passer at the club yet also the worst at getting caught out in critical positions. Barrett was played out of position and had no service, but can actually keep the ball and pass accurately. Nonetheless he didn’t play well, just think you’re a bit harsh. Harries did a little more than I expected, which wasn’t much. Grant I felt was among the worst performers. None of the team played well. It was a disjointed affair but I wouldn’t single anyone out really, let’s be honest, who played well? No one IMO. It’s just slightly different shades of brown

A lot of players given a chance to impress tonight and unfortunately not many did. Thought Kelly had a very good game and both Walker & Ayunga livened things up for us when they came on. Ogogo worked hard and put his foot in but doesnt offer a great deal else, as much as Upson gets stick on here I cant see him being replaced. PT will have a much clearer picture of the squad he has now, I can see 2 or 3 leaving even if it's on loan to make room for new arrivals.
