A good performance from us and a good game. Kilgour was immense. McCormick and Westbrook did v well. Hanlan worked his socks off against very good defenders. No-one was awful for us but a lot of moves broke down on the right as Ehmer offers nothing going forward in open play as a full back. Oz seemed to be slower than usual today.

No shame in that performance today. A number of dodgy/iffy Ref decision in that second half - the free kick we didn't get before they broke away, throw ins, corners, free kicks that should have been in our favour. It seemed like the Ref decided not to keep up with play second half. A real shame that Leahy had his one a game lapse to give the ball away after playing so well for the vast majority of the game. We do lack a bit of pace at the back, if we can find a quick right back in the window that would go along way to sorting that out imho

Sheff U deserved the win but with a half balanced referee we may have got a draw there. I thought when the ref holds both hands in front of him it means advantage. Is not an advantage when the opponent is running through on goal. Blades surely going down, a back three who can’t stay on their feet can only get you so far

Proud of that performance, went toe to toe with a Premier League side and nearly got something out of it, an entertaining game to watch.
We worked hard but also looked decent on the ball, if this is the style of football we’re going to see under Tisdale then I’m very much on board with it.
McCormick, Hanlan, Kilgour and Westbrooke all put in a great shift for us today, I thought. Tisdale is starting to get the best out of some of Garner’s summer signings.
I think we’ve got to sort out what our best back four is, Ehmer looks like more of a centre back to me, add a striker and we’ll shoot up the table during the rest of the season with the players we have at our disposal.

Good game. Good effort by the Gas - we've got some players who can play a bit. Poor ref and one of the liners. Let's now get up the League.

Good game, thoroughly enjoyed it. A battling performance but the better side won and should have done by more than they did. The ref is a regular in the Premier And Championship and is just as bad then.

What’s wrong with Hare? Would like to see him back now that we’re generally more settled in defence

The level of timber on Barrett wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't puffing all over the place after being on the pitch 3 minutes. The lad has a good level of skill, he could boss this league if he could get himself a bit more mobile.
Bigger players aren't common these days but it doesn't have to mean that it's not beyond him. No real evidence to suggest that could be the case? Although why's PT being so weak and not telling Barrett to lose weight, surely players must have clauses in their contracts where they have to keep to a certain level of fitness? From what I've seen he's a tidy player and can deliver some threatening balls, and has good control. That's always going to be subdued compared to your best when your fitness is below standard. PT has seen enough to introduce him back into the squad and is good enough of a man manager to be handling him in the best way possible. Which isn't necessarily telling him he's overweight and to do something about it. Because for some people that's exactly the sort of thing which will cause them to worsen their situation not improve it. He looks bad today because there's cameras all over the pitch doing close ups, which aren't going to be flattering. He could very well be in much better condition than he was back when he joined us this time last year. As long as he runs for the ball and has a go I'm keen for him to be given a chance and I'm glad PT is giving him that opportunity.

Pretty poor defending by Upson on the second goal, then why is Baldwin only making a half hearted challenge for the third goal when he could have slid in and put the ball out of play. At the other end our defenders show our attackers how to attack the ball in the penalty area. I guess it's just our luck Sheff Utd put out a full strength side, I doubt there's any other Premierside doing that this weekend against lower league opposition?

Great attitude from the players today, worked tirelessly and battled hard against a team full of premier league players. Kilgour was our MOTM for me.

I thought he was giving an advantage for a foul by us that we didn't notice (watching this back - I can't see it?). If he was giving us an 'advantage', and he really is a Prem/Champ regular, then whoever does the refereeing appointment should consider knocking him down a few levels based on todays sh** show.

Id give the boys a 8.5/10
Would go up if i could give 8.5s everyweek but probably need 9s to beat prem teams.
Only real note of shade is the third goal. Think a more sensible reaction to equalising. More focus.

Thought Day was great considerating not been with us long, Kilgour and Westbrook were immense, Hanlon good game. Never convinced with Leahy.. his one mistake always leads to a goal.
However on the whole, have done ourselves proud, we gave it a go, scored a couple and hold our heads up high.
Barrett a concern (fitness wise)

No - we'll get him again next week if they do that, The Prem can keep him
