Mk have been sh** but we setup a side with no midfielders who can create To be fair they haven’t played for weeks and have only had one training session. We have been awful don’t get me wrong but I blame bad Covid luck more than anything else for this one. While I agree we’d have still lined up with two Leftbacks and no Rightbacks. The situation has again exposed the mess that was made in the makeup of our squad.

Disappointed but not disheartened.
We looked like a side playing a preseason game. Low on fitness, playing a gear down. Against a side who is less talented but have more wind. Playing a below strength squad with key players out due to fitness issues.Honestly not the end of the world.
I'd be more worried if I was an MK Dons supporter and that's not because I'd be following a plastic football club.
We've made it to our new year now and PT appears to be making a positive impression (today aside perhaps).
He now has the chance to address the issues with personnel in a transfer window. 2 games in hand above the drop and a point above. Everyone above us up to Sunderland in 11th have played more games than us.
Not the end of the world at all (for want of a better phrase mid-pandemic)
Up the gas.

Rubbish but hopefully everyone at the club is now aware the remit for this season should simply be survival. UTG

Too many passengers today. A lot of standing still and watching the game pass them by.
Hope it's down to the disruption and they turn up sharper and with much much more energy in the new year after some training sessions.

Also really like the innovation we've been showing in our set pieces. We've gone from being shocking to showing real attacking intent in dead ball situations.

Won’t be reading anything into that but a shame nonetheless.
We move on.

Terrible in all departments. Players can't pass the ball, hold the ball, throw the ball. Set pieces are too laborious. Cannot win a loose ball.
Relegation survival now.
What a waste of an afternoon.

We’ve barely trained in the last two weeks and had 4 of our best players out. Meh. I’d have been stunned had we NOT been shocking today.

Officiating is dire today. Keeper drops the ball for no reason ffs and ref immediately blows his whistle Ha, that post was an extension to the linesmen for giving MK free throw ins that belonged to us! But yeah the ref wasn't popular in my lounge for that either.

Pretty awful display. MK Dons were rubbish too.We looked throughout like a team who hadnt trained and lacked fitness but we should have equalised in the first attack of the second half and it could have all been different. I feel that these teams who have to cancel due to Covid should not have to play after 1 training session-its a bit of a farce but its something that we and other teams are going to have to put up with. There should have been a two or three week break.

I'll let Tisdale off today and have a 'free' hit - under the circumstances. However, this performance next weekend will not be acceptable and I expect to see us back to where we were before the Covid outbreak. The odds were stacked against us coming into this, I’m willing to cut Tisdale and the squad a lot of slack given that they’ve not played/trained much recently and have a lot of injuries in the squad. Still coming away from this a bit disappointed, it’s not the kind of performance you want to see your team put in on Boxing Day. We can do a lot better as we showed in our last two games before today. Yep agree with much of that. We've seen huge improvements in recent weeks, only Covid has ruined that a bit today. Perhaps Pompey being off could be a blessing in disguise as we can get a full week on the training pitch now

If I was an MK fan I'd be pretty delighted ending a poor run of form with a comfortable victory, clean sheet and should/could have scored more - all without really getting out of 2nd/3rd gear. That's not to take into account what's happened to us recently, but you can only beat whats in front of you and they did the job tbf.

I bit of an exaggeration to say Grant and Oztumer are two of our better players? I wouldn't be surprised if the latter returns to Charlton next month as he's hardly figured under PT. I guess today was typical Rovers in recent times, like when we play against 10 men or have a player sent off, other teams battle though, we just weakly throw in the towel.

Grant is one of the first names on the team sheet when fit & I’ll eat my hat if PT sends Oztumer back next month.

Poor performance but have seen worse this season. We looked off the pace which is no surprise after little training in the last two weeks. The midfield lacked creativity but with 3 midfielders out that's not a surprise. The defense looked hesitant and probably a little lucky to only concede 2 goals.
It's a shame as if we had been on song they would have been there for the taking.
Let's hope next week is a good one on the training ground and the players missing return to fitness next week.

Disappointed with that, but not disheartened. Expected really under the circumstances with what’s gone on, just a shame really because MK were there for taking in normal circumstances. Although they certainly deserved to win the game, I think we just had to much disruption. Take that one on the chin gasheads and move on, we will be absolutely fine this year. UTG!
