Am I the only one happy with a point? We have 3 strikers out (that is unlucky) and you would think once fit we will look ok. It’s going to be a fight. Tonight at least they fought for each other. UTG Not happy with a point, but not the end of the world. That miss in the first half was ridiculous, he’d done all the hard work!

Lots of over the top comments on here. We had no fit forwards. But most of those on the pitch did at least OK. Nicholson, apart from the miss, was v good. Grant and McCormick were good. Even Ed Upson was good. A real shame we didn’t win but a point is not a disaster and PT has more time to work on stuff before the next league game.

Some strange people on here tonight.
Frustrating 100% A victim of BG not getting another striker in 100%
But words such as gutless, dire, clueless etc are well wide of the mark for me. They tried their socks off til the 95th minute and kept going and probing. When you look at the quality of subs we were able to bring on, without Daly, Han and Jonah, I don’t think we’re in too bad shape, and played some really good stuff at times.
We can sit here and criticise and moan and get on the young lads backs, or we can encourage and get behind them and the new gaffer. UTG.

Much better formation tonight, with hanlan up front we can play Nicholson wide in the 4231 and both of those would have had field days tonight in their favoured positions. I’d have Tutonda on the other side of Nichols but can understand why he was rested tonight however he looks a much better option than koki who hasn’t impressed me at all so far and didn’t look an attacking wide player tonight against a poor side in any shape or form, Tutonda would have played havoc tonight. Lots of positives I don’t think any of them played badly the thing that cost us 2 points was having only 3 strikers in the squad and them all being unavailable and I’m not going to blame the team or Tisdale for that because it’s not their fault. Gutted we didn’t win but pleased with Tisdales formation and his subs and I feel very relieved to say that because I was really scratching my head on Saturday. Got to stick with this formation now it suits our squad got to get the strikers fit and JML can be quality for us in the formation too. Feeling much happier tonight than Saturday. UTG. I agree we looked much better for the formation change. Bring Hanlan back in and play Nicholson and Barrett wide with Westbrook in the central role. Those 3 can all interchange and I feel we will start to see some much improved performances

And leahy is f**king sh** That a tad unfair, he didn't give the ball away very often and allowed it to be kept and recycled. He isn't the problem it's further forward where the clear problems are. Yeah leahy played ok tonight they all did , the problem was having our best attacking midfielder as our lone striker and that isn’t Tisdale or Nicholson’s fault.

Strikers or not, fact is we played a team tonight worse than the one Bolton had last season and we could of played all night and still not scored.
We’re in trouble. And what’s worse is that’s it’s so boring to watch as well.

Paying the price for poor recruitment in the summer, but a point is a point and we move on, here's hoping we can get a confidence boosting win in the cup and kick on from there.

That was an awful second half, we had the possession but we were up against the worst side in the league and I can’t think of a notable chance created. Why did we take of Oztumer and McCormick who were our best players and not take off Upson? Tisdale could hardly of got off to a worse start. I only listened but even I noticed that we seemed to have a lot of the ball but everything we seemed to try just fizzled out. We might not have had a striker on the pitch but to still not carve out one solid chance in the second half, considering these players were the best since sliced bread (or so I was told), is a pretty bleak omen. I’m not convinced that simply putting Daly and Hanlan in this team is going to keep us up I think we were missing Hanlan most of all, if we had him, we would have taken a chance and won the game. Nicholson would get the ball, go forwards with it and realise there was no one to give it to and go backwards with it. Can’t understand why Westbrooke was on the bench, such a massive improvement on Upson.

I'm getting the feeling that some younger supporters are contagious in their opinions despite not experiencing the Eastville or Twerton years.. Fair enough but welcome to being a proper Bristol Rovers Supporter. Us Prehistoric fans have gone through more than you will ever Dam know?

My take after tonight is that I think we have someone who understands game management (though I did not agree with Ozzy coming off), I guess not scoring isn't a surprise when no strikers are available. We need to start every game with two strikers on the field. Perhaps Sam can give an update on the fitness progress of our forwards.

They all gave 100% and there were no bad performances out there. If hanlan or Daley had been fit we’d almost certainly won that. Well done Tisdale for going against the grain of this season and scrapping the wing back formation and we’ll done the players for giving everything.

Darlington on sunday will give a better performance than wigan tonight so dont bet on us staying in the cup! Dam disgusting! Why give a manager a complete overhaul of player personal to then sack him after 12 games and when most importantly not bad games? He was supposed to be judged on this season and his team which is now! Baffling truly baffling

When was the last time we played against a team that sh**e? Bolton at the Mem where everyone was regularly put 5 or more past them and we lost to them giving them their first win of the season. And we somehow lost to Southend too last season.

A fit Hanlan up front tonight and we'd have won that easily. Their two CBs were useless but Nicholson is no striker as we saw with his miss in the first half. Obviously frustrating to lose but you'd think we'd just been relegated to the Conference by Mansfield judging by some of the reactions on here.

We never had a striker tonight but should have Daly and Hanlon available on Sunday. So then who gets dropped as you need to get Oztumer Nicholson McCormick Westbrooke and possibly Barrett into the side. I wont comment about the formation as Wigan were so bad it wouldn't have mattered how we lined up but I do think a back 4 is the way to go.

Disappointed with the result tonight but not as depressed as after Saturday's game. With daly and/or Hanlan back on Sunday i think we'll be ok this season.

Who’d have thought our woefully unbalanced squad would come back to bite us! Not surprised Hanlan’s crocked - poor bloke has been flogged to death the last two months with Ayunga out. Shambles. Yeah he’s been brilliant to be fair playing Saturday Tuesday most weeks and always gives 100% One of the few positives this season. We talked about him Possibly burning out from it recently and now he’s injured. Can’t believe we came in to this season with three strikers. This. Some of us have been saying all season how that guy won’t last because he gets little protection from refs and he takes a beating every match. This is the most easily predicted injury. He needs protecting esp as we only have the 3 strikers. Hopefully Daly back on Saturday. I’m hoping we will be calling back a youngster from their loan. Walker looked up for it when he came on so let’s give them a chance. Roll on January. UTG!
