I thought we used a few lives up there. We let them play through us time and time again and rarely won the loose or 50/50 ball. On another day Shrews could have scored 3 but never mind, they didn’t. Garner needs to tighten the midfield because it’s like a sieve, and it’s been that way in every game I’ve watched. don't agree the midfield is weak - I'd say the defence look a bit vulnerable to balls slid into channels behind them - we are not the quickest at the back. That’s true but the midfield are letting too many attacks get through, they’re not protecting the back 3 enough.

The most pleasing thing for me tonight is the positive answer to Saturdays draw, after two wins in a row, I think a lot of us would have expected another three points against Burton, it did not happen but we have bounce straight back with another victory, this and coming back from a goal down to Lincoln says a lot about the team and gives great hope for the future.

Been saying that all season. Grant isnt an improvement on Clarke or Ogogo. He is arguably even worse than Upson. Lol you have to be kidding He doesn’t break up play but is a decent enough player. Perhaps Garner doesn’t want a destroyer in front of the back four ? Fair enough but I think we’ll need one against the better sides in the league in fact I think we already have this season and it showed that we didn’t have one.

Lol you have to be kidding Nope. I thought he had a really good second half. We tightened up through the middle after the first half and he won a lot of battles.

We have to remember this is a young side and a very new side - 9 of the starting 11 weren't even at the club last Christmas ! 10 pts from 12 is a very promising sign. Hopefully, we can add a bit more of a killer instinct to our game.

Total team performance What I was pleased with, is the amount of work we put in We finished the stronger, with the Shrews looking the more tired Hard working 3 points, still not the finished article, but we are going the right way. Well done lads... UTG💙⚽️

The Doncaster defeat not looking so bad now. Ipswich 4-1 down in 64 minutes. Wow ! Ipshit had only conceded 1 before tonight.

Sometimes sloppy in possession but spirited performance, jaakola is a tremendous keeper, thought we were lucky at times, Ehmer great stop on the line, but felt Daly should have had a pen second half, and Grant should have hit the target first half. We have a young inexperienced team who will only get better.
Had the pre match whirl circle, dont understand why Home games are easy to get but away makes me wonder will I see any action.

Table looking good . Most of us said give Garner until the end of October to turn it around. I think most of us thought the chances of that happening were pretty slim I know I did. It’s the 20th today and we’re currently 9th in the league. Fair play to him and his young side.

Very pleased so far with Daly and Hanlan's work rate, the pair never stop running and closing down and five goals between them already is very good. Only going to get better the more games they play.

I am absolutely delighted with that win. There were many loose, scratchy performances all around the team for a long while but we pulled ourselves together and saw that out as a unit. As mentioned above we battled hard until the end and Shrewsbury’s game deteriorated as the game wore on until the final stages. Being able to bring on the likes of Nicholson & Oztumer is one hell of a luxury to have. They are two quality players that could easily start any match. So it’s 10 points from 12 and we go to Accrington on Saturday, another great chance for 3 more points. I am chuffed for Ben Garner and his staff once more.

Well done everyone, BG and the team. Shrewsbury played well and it’s a good job no one else was on Clarke’s wavelength because he was very good but the CHs managed him well. Think it was an even match but we looked dangerous in the final third, they looked dangerous up until they got to the penalty area. Day off tomorrow I presume then more of the same training and Accrington on Saturday. UTG!

With the games coming thick and fast until February, I can see us starting to rest players soon, but we have such strength in depth at the moment, this doesn't worry me like it may have done with other squads.
They're all so young as well, so I wasn't surprised how we finished the stronger tonight.

Had to download the EFL ifollow app in the end and get the game on that. Getting the impression you can only get home games via the club website. For away games you need to use the EFL ifollow app. Can anyone confirm that or explain why the club website is so bad for away games?
