Sat too deep after getting our goal, like upson but he slows it all down, chance Hanlan had should have kicked the ball when he headed it, and Sam was unlucky with the header, good pen shout, disappointed but not despondent. Let's take the shrews Tuesday UTG

You only deserve the points if you get shots on target and maybe the keeper makes lots of saves. Half chances and hitting the bar isn’t unlucky it’s not good enough. I’m quite happy it’s another game unbeaten and I don’t think we played badly I think we were slightly the better side but we didn’t deserve to win and we weren’t unlucky. The big decision was the penalty and the foul on Ansi - it was the difference between 2-0 and 1-1 Hanlan had a fairly easy chance to score in the second half, so we can hardly blame the ref this week for not winning.

Funny isn’t it? At the time we were thrashed 1-1 by Sunderland and were beaten by a terrible Ipswich team. Have you misquoted me Gassy? Because I certainly haven’t said sh** like that! Was referring to GGMIs positivity how at the time we were thrashed and playing poor teams, but all of a sudden they’re top teams!

I said we were accepting defeats against them and making them sound like they were Bayern Munich when we should be competitive against any team in this league. Of course that won't suit your agenda though.

A bit like my Stella after that soft equaliser. You needed a Burton goal , you just needed at least a couple more Gas goals to go with it. Tbh I would have been very happy for us to win 1 - 0, but sh** happens eh! There’s always Tuesday to look forward too, I’m gonna have weetabix for tea just for luck. 👍

As poor as we were today still better than anything we served up under GC. Observations.... Let's hope we can sign the lad from Burnley as tutonda looked every bit the non league player today. Very very poor. What happened to harries distribution today? Was shocking. Our only real attacking threat from open play is through Josh hare. That can't continue the rest need to up their creative game. Oztumer has to start Tuesday.

Hopefully they’ll come at us which might make for an easier game offensively than today. Burton did their homework defensively today and we didn’t really have a plan B due to Garners ineffectiveness with his subs. Hopefully he’ll be proactive in a good way on Tuesday rather than like today’s ineffective reactive.

Got a feeling we’ll be brought back down to earth a bit with a 1-1. I’d keep an unchanged side to start. For f**ks sake.

As far as GC it looks like his days might be numbered by the looks of the threads on Mansfield's forum. www.stagsnet.net/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=8

Didn’t look like a non league player at all.

The games will be coming thick and fast now so quite confident with our squad. Hopefully we can get Oztumer starting games, we need that little bit more creativity and he will give it for sure.
I am quite optimistic for our season ahead, i think we will get better and better as the season progresses. UTG.

Thought Dave(Tutonda) had an ok game , has set a very high standard in his prev games and today he did not quite match that , still as good as many others on pitch and certainly to good for non league.

I wouldn’t even say he had a bad game, just restricted by his defensive duties. Perhaps it was just me but McCormick didn’t do anything today, did he? Not sure if things can be moved around to let messi in for Tuesday and drop McCormick?

Would definitely like to see Oztumer start on Tuesday - we need more creativity & more of a goal threat from the midfield.
Hare__Westbrooke__Grant__Tutonda _____________Oztumer ________Hanlan______Daly
IMO.

I said we were accepting defeats against them and making them sound like they were Bayern Munich when we should be competitive against any team in this league. Of course that won't suit your agenda though. Yeah my agenda is clearly to make you out worse than you actually are, been working on this for months - finally my time has come. Wasn’t long ago you said, “anyone wanting to keep him isn't a Rovers fan” “Too much inexperience/lack of leadership qualities off and on the pitch.” Suddenly the young side is a positive thing because we won a couple of games? How many threads did you start on getting a new manager? No agenda needed, you create enough threads for all to see that you’re generally negative.

I think we were just a little naive after going in front. It’s like we wanted to manage the game too early.
Wouldn’t want to be too harsh on them though. They seem to be learning fast, generally and I’m sure that will be another lesson learned today.

Opinionated maybe but not negative. I didn't see any signs of progression until that week of games. The Lincoln game in particular we played very well. I never thought we had bad players, I just hadn't been convinced by Garner. We shall see though, things seem to be generally progressing. Don't twist my words again though please.

Well peeps, I'll take the point. Better than walking out at home to none, and might just keep the 'Garner Out' brigade quiet (until Tuesday).
Happy with an unchanged side, the incomings could have unsettled some, and I think it was the right decision to keep the same XI. It'll be interesting to see how the teamsheet changes over the next few weeks, I can see Otzumer making a start to state his case.
We tend to lose abysmally to bottom of the tables.. albeit it a few matches in I know.. but as for the positive trajectory we seem to of found these last few weeks, I'll take the point and look forward to the Weetabix derby!
