3-5-2 would be my guess as well, and I think it suits the squad we've got, especially if we're looking to add another midfielder.
3-5-2 gives us the benefit of having 3 CBs and 3 CMs. Providing we can get the ball into JML and Hanlan and the 3 CMs and wingbacks can get up in support, we should have enough there to cause Ipswich problems.
Hanlon and JML are both capable of scoring, it's not like we've no stickers, plus Ayunga's on the bench. Conceding goals is the concern for me.
None of those three have a record of scoring goals on a regular basis at this level.
It's Horfield Derangement Syndrome. No matter what the actual facts say, these totally unproven players are obviously unrecognised prodigies. That is of course until they actually start to do well and then they will suddenly develop "an attitude problem" which makes them "lazy and uninterested".
