1.Pitch looked Great. 2.Our goalie was brill. 3.Ref always right up with play-very very fit. 4.The other Bristol team up here tomorrow and the locals very confident. 5.Hey,no goals in open play yet but things can only get better. Positives all round Ben. 6) There was no booing and the crowd never got on his back.

There was at lest one behind the goal whose head had dropped fairly early on.

Get good point at Sunderland. Everything is ok Lose to Ipswich and it’s Garner out! And remember this is a young team who will get better over time. Something maybe we all need to accept? UTG That's not true! Everything wasn't ok....there have been threads and posts prior to Sunderland, so everything was far from ok and it didn't change for some after a battling draw. The team may get better over time? The post is supposition. It makes conclusion without providing evidence. Individuals might, if they are coached and man managed correctly with the best mentors, but I present evidence that BG is not the man to oversee this.

May not he his biggest fan. But if he is a possession based manager. Why was the second touch today given to one of the centre halves who wacked it as far as he could down the pitch?surely first kick off should allow some type of ball play between the team

I get your points, my argument is that only with time will we ever know whether this team has the ability to become a force in this division. It’s too early to make any definitive arguments either way. We all want Garner to succeed as if he does we are winning matches. If he doesn’t he will be gone.

Someone teach Leahy how to pass 😩 Ah! Is that the Leahy who Walsall fans told you about? The same Leahy who was the highest ranked outfield player last week.

Well I know exactly what but anyway... He had a decent game last week. I'm not talking about last week. I was talking on about today when he made a few bad passes in short succession.

I'm afraid I have to disagree again....he hasn't succeeded and is still here. After roughly half a season of competitive matches. I would say BG has had one whole transfer window and almost two, and has been backed by Wael financially. The post says give it time, fair play. This is arbitrary, as from when? BG has had time. And I've been patient. I've invested time and money following BG and am no more qualified than you or anyone for having an opinion, but I have seen the same game v Southend kids as I have today even to the fact that upson received a booking! It's shocking management, BG appears to have no clue what is going on around him or how to change it. It's the same scratchy chin, bemusement and on 69-72 mins make a substitution to change nothing! But, hey.....give him more time.

So what do you intend doing, buying out Wael next week and then sacking BG? Whilst Wael remains our owner and is standing by BG then unfortunately he doesn't look like going anywhere soon.

So Wael should make an announcement every time we lost a game and state his plan to you? Your hatred for the man who is single handedly keeping us afloat without fans, its absolutely pathetic. After a sh*te performance, you're questioning Wael instead of Garner. It's even more embarrassing than the performance we jus watched. No, Wael should tell us all what the plan is.I do not hate the man, I simply do not understand where he is taking our Club. You say it was a sh*te performance and blame the manager - well he is Wael's appointment. In any organisation the man at the top has to take responsibility - that here is Wael and whilst I may like the man is irrelevant. He has to prove to us all that he is capable of taking this Club forward, are you confident that he is capable? As a business owner myself, I knew where the 'buck stopped' and it was always ME. I hope he has the ability and the 'ME' to take our Club forward into the Championship, because otherwise I worry for our future. Please let me know why (if you do) consider Wael Al-Qadi has the ability and means to take BRFC forward and ability to make it all happen for 'the Gas'? I personally have given Wael Al-Qadi my support in meetings I have had with him, but as you will agree, it is entirely up to him to prove my support is respected and prove it. Wow, you seem to have an incredibly high opinion of your own importance!

Well the only good thing about that was that ifollow worked and was sat in the garden on a nice afternoon! Haven’t read all the thread but fwiw: We are so easy to play against, some players press but we don’t press as a team so it’s easy to play against. Ipswich easily got behind us again esp in first half and they were given so much time. Thought the CHs played ok until Ehmer’s mistake and Alfie was ok, not special nor as good as he can be. Midfield didn’t work any better than the last few matches. ZW is good in possession but he’s doing it in our half, not theirs. I didn’t think Upson was too bad but I’ve no idea what Grant was doing or what his role is. JML looked lost yet we know how dangerous he can be. They looked disinterested after two league games, it looks like a long season. Attack, what attack? I felt sorry for Hanlan he looks ok when facing goal and holds it well but he has no support. Having said that he should have scored, he had so much time and space. Thank goodness we had Jaakola, without him we’d have been hammered just like last week.
People talk about the Garner project but having watched the 3 matches so far I’ve not a clue what this project is. We have less possession than any team we play against, we don’t create chances so we don’t score and we are easily bullied off the ball. We appear to have recruited well this season but the players are unable to show us how good they are so far. It’s only two leagues games so far so important not to panic but it’s clear that the system, whatever it’s meant to be, isn’t working so far. We may get better but any scout would have seen that we are so easy to predict. Teams will know how to defend against one striker so we need to have an alternative way to play. I haven’t worked up the courage to listen to his post-match views yet.
Sort it out BG or its going to end badly. Unfortunately I’m not confident he can though I hope he does. 🤔
UTG!

Oh so because you're a business owner, that makes you morally correct and therefore an expert on how to run Bristol Rovers? Take your head out of your arse for just a day, hmm? I've caught you lying previously when you said you've given Wael your support under your old forum name, you conveniently disappeared from the forum for a couple of weeks. Now you're going to try and lie your way out and say it was in a meeting where there is no proof - it's getting rather sad. I can only assume that in your business you've never fired anyone, given a telling off or given a disciplinary - based on your post. F*ck me, I'm no Garner fan but losing games is literally part and parcel of the job. When one of your colleagues made a routine mistake in their role, do you immediately take full responsibility for the action and issue a statement to the entire company to give future direction of the company? Imagine doing that, when you've already made a couple of statements yourself over the summer AND the CEO makes continuous statements about the club's future and plan. Oh and let's not forget, the owner wrote of £24m worth of debt overnight and then proceeded to build us a training ground, taking us further off the pitch than we have in what - 50+ years? But no you're right Knowall - we lost the first league game of the season, we should expect Wael to come out with yet another statement and take responsibility for the loss, as we should for every game we lose this season. Have a word ffs. Your hatred is toxic to BRFC.

So I just caught the lowlights on quest. Quick summary, almost as quick as the quest clip:
- calamitous defending for both goals - the cardboard cut outs on a terrace are just an embarrassment. Why tape them to the barriers? Surely better in the south stand? It looked like a fairground coconut shy. - meh

Marcus claims ... " No doubt about it Rovers are there for the taking " No loyalty in football for sure .... Appreciate he played for Ipswich but hasn't had a good word to say about the club.... Wow! It is possible that he is simply telling the truth as he sees it.

For me Hanlan and Ayunga have to be on the field at the same time to present opposing defenders with a physical and athletic threat, therefore the formation needs to change to accommodate this. So either 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 in the later formation attacking wing backs are needed. My suspicion is that Ben can't change which is why when at WBA Megson banned him from the training ground.
