That was the model Wael sold when he took over the club, and youngsters take time to bring on. Hopefully this batch of promising young players will be the start of something exciting at the club . Never win anything with kids 😂😂😂 Alan Hansen said 😂 Alan Hansen said that, and then Gareth Southgate came very close to proving him wrong in the last World Cup. I'd take nearly and enjoy the ride 🙂

Our "weaker" side are literally out playing Cardiff now. Agreed, and arguably Cardiff's stronger lineup.

Josh Grant impressing too with some good tackles and interceptions in midfield. But can he bomb about aimlessly at 100mph and lunge into tackles which shows real commitment 😮

2-1 Cardiff, Glatzel but he looked offside.

Two goals conceded from set-pieces, I think we know what to work on at training.

Two goals conceded from set-pieces, I think we know what to work on at training. In fairness that was Cardiff’s strength in the Championship last season so our young lads probably always had their work cut out tonight. Flint and Glatzel are 2 big guys, both good in the air.

I'm really enjoying this, cracking game of football and Rovers have put in a good account of themselves.

On another night Ayunga could've had a hat-trick.

Signing David Tutonda on a free could turn out to be an excellent acquisition. Causing Cardiff all sorts of problems.

Some very good signs here. Individually, some very impressive performances.
I think there is some work to do as a unit but the new signings and youngsters are certainly showing promise.

Our "weaker" side are literally out playing Cardiff now. I don’t mean to disparage but I do wonder if Garner has stumbled on this a bit by the way the youth played against Cheltenham. I’m sure he didn’t expect to be getting such a dynamic performance from the less experienced lads in the squad. Either way, it all seems encouraging. I’ll need convincing we don’t need a top class striker though

Fair to say Ayunga needs some shooting practice. Another glorious chance missed, did really well once again up until the shot.

On another night Ayunga could've had a hat-trick. Another great chance for Ayunga as he's clean through on goal but hits it tamely at the keeper.
